We had a really good time with The Soul Collector at Captured LV! There were four of us playing, and this room had the perfect amount of puzzles to keep everyone involved. Nobody was standing around waiting for something to do, which is always a huge plus for us. The atmosphere was creepy without taking away from the actual gameplay, and the set design really helped pull us into the theme. Even better, there were a few puzzle mechanics and set elements that we had never encountered before — we do a lot of escape rooms, finding something that feels genuinely new is always refreshing! The room is non-linear, so we were able to split up and work on different things at the same time, but it was still organized enough that we never felt completely lost about what we were supposed to be doing. The puzzles were a great mix of challenging and fun. A few of them really forced us to think outside of our normal puzzle wheelhouse, which we loved. We ended up using 3 clues and still didn’t make it out, if we had just 2 more minute we woulda made it, lol. there were definitely some moments where we had to stop, regroup and look at things from a completely different angle. Overall, The Soul Collector was a solid room — creepy atmosphere, plenty to do, creative puzzles, some unique surprises, and a good level of difficulty for an experienced group. Final Rating: 8/10 🔐👻 Definitely one of those rooms where you walk out talking about a few of the puzzles afterward — and for us, that’s always a good sign!
