“Honestly one of the best games I’ve ever done! The puzzles were very challenging but so so fun! And the team was so accommodating - thought we had booked online and realized we hadn’t last minute. Called and they were able to accommodate us. Would absolutely recommend this game to anyone (though beware if you’re not as experienced with escape rooms)!”

“We loved this room! It's a great room, and it's cool that they have a wheelchair lift for the stairs so they're accessible. Love the hidden parts of the room, and the puzzles. Everything in this room flowed well and made sense, making it an easier room and a good room for beginners. It's cool because the theming was very well done, so you really feel immersed in the room while you're in it.”

“Great room. The theming was done very well, an exciting take on the classic FBI/CIA themed rooms. Great use of technology and exciting puzzles. Would definitely recommend especially for those trying out escape rooms for the first time.”

“This game is incredibly unique. If you’ve got 2 groups of friends to play with, it gets very competitive and tons of fun to mess with the other team. The puzzles here and theme are really well done. This is the most fun experience I’ve played. It’s not really an escape room, it is more a competitive challenge against another team.”

“Completed as a duo and while this room is probably best with atleast 3--4 people, we enjoyed the added challenge for a couple of the parts that our group size provided. very technical heavy room with a lot of cool moments that we had not seen before. we liked the inversion of the mission and which made it feel really fresh.”

“Played this game twice and what a wonderful game. Yes, it's the most common escape room theme, but it's also from The Escape Game who knows what they are doing. You need some co-op play (so recommend 3-4, although 2 could theoretically do this) & this game (unlike most) is more Shawshank Redemption than generic escape room. Beautiful flow and amazing use of space. It still holds up almost a decade later.”

“Ah, another wonderful game from The Escape Game, the exception to the rule that franchised escape room companies can't deliver wonderful experiences. Taking the increasingly common theme of trains & turning it on its head with time travel?! Somehow, TEG threaded the needle smoothly with puzzles within the train as well as the "stops" through different eras. Everything flowed perfectly. The set kept up the illusions of train and time periods too. Come for this game. But pretty much stay for the rest of them. It's a great time from start to finish!”

“Fantastic room with a good mix of old school locks and technology. Feels like a great addition to the "Escape Game" brand. Up there with "Runis" in my mind. Very unique, and a must do for this location. Our party of 4 vets struggled a little with a couple of puzzles (we were missing our "ringer") but eventually figured it all out. All of the puzzles made perfect sense. I would rate this game as a medium difficulty. The story was fluid and also made sense. I would be surprised if this was not a Morty Award room next year. If you are an escape room enthusiest coming to Nashville, I would book this room, and "Timeliner" here. Then I would book "Ruins" and "Prison Break" at the Berry Hill location, followed by Spellbound at Great Escape Rooms in North Nashville.”

“Did this with my family as a group of 8 and we had a blast. Experience spanned the spectrum of first timers to enthusiasts and all of us had a blast. The set was big enough and non linear so everyone could fan out and work on stuff separately or together. There were fun moments when big events happened that brought us together so those were nice as well.”

“Love a split start in rooms so that was fun. Was suprised at the depths and evolution of the space and the use of some features/mechanics that we had never seen before were very novel. The ending left me suprised as well when we got a prop and said "surely they don't expect us to actually use this" only for it to be the final step to escape suprised me!”

“Talk about skin of our teeth! 1:22 left on the clock! The Depths was awesome! You need lots of communication and there are lots of "in depth" (ba dum tuss) puzzles. There are 3 separate rooms within this escape room. There are great visuals and awesome puzzles. Only number locks and key locks. Ryan was the best game master of all time, such great energy and just a chill dude. Will come back again!”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
