Best of Morty (2024)

Henry and Elizabeth McKay's daughter, Matty, went missing, leading them to blame an ancient ruby necklace. Their desperate search for answers revealed they were marked for death and being hunted. Meanwhile, a ritual by paranormal investigators at their home summoned a demon instead of bringing Matty back. Now, the investigators must warn the McKays, but the demon is also on their trail.
Henry and Elizabeth McKay were devastated when their daughter, Matty, went missing. They blamed both her disappearance and the evil in their home on an ancient relic - a ruby necklace meant to cure Elizabeth from a terminal illness. Upon discovering their daughter and the necklace were missing, they traveled to the relic’s creation site in hopes of finding answers.

The secrets they uncovered on this trip confirmed their fears: they were marked for death. They were being hunted.

Unbeknownst to them, a summoning ritual was taking place back at their house. Conducted by a crew working for Adam Monie, Paranormal Investigator, the ritual was intended to bring back the McKays' daughter but also summoned a demon intent on taking the relic. In their panic, the investigators left the necklace behind, which the entity took back to its realm. The investigators barely made it out of the house with their lives.

Distraught, Henry and Elizabeth returned home, desperate to speak with Adam Monie, but he was gone. They found their daughter alone, scared, and different, clutching a broken piece of the necklace.

The McKays quickly packed and hit the road, planning to hide away in their cabin several states away. Halfway there, they stopped at a motel to rest. They should have kept driving.

Angered by the incomplete relic, the demon returned to this plane, searching for the broken piece Matty carried. He planned to do whatever it took to get it back.
You are the paranormal investigators who summoned him. Now, it’s your job to warn the family. You've been hot on their trail, but so has the demon. Is it too late? Book your stay at Monie Motel and find out.

We had such a great time with Chapter 1 that we went back the very next day to play Chapter 2 of the Cabin. Monie Motel did not disappoint either. It was just as scary as the first chapter. Our host Reina was every bit as welcoming as Lee, our gamemaster from the day before. Two days, two chapters, zero regrets.

We’d had this on our wishlist forever, and when we finally got back to Austin, we made sure it was at the top of the list. Zero disappointment. The puzzles, the atmosphere, the attention to detail in every room, and especially the actor’s performance were all incredible. We screamed more than a few times. The gamemaster was fantastic too. If you’re into scary, immersive, story-driven puzzle experiences, this is an absolute must-try. Highly recommend.

The Cabin: Chapter 1

Welcome to a twisted corner of the 1930s. A group of Freemasons in Innsmouth, Massachusetts have recently roused an ancient, evil being beyond all mortal control. The brothers thought they could control it and harness its immense power in order to rule over humanity. But they were very, very wrong. Terrifying nightmares and portents have lead you and several others to the front steps of their cursed Masonic Hall. You don't know exactly what happened inside this building, but you do know that your dreams have called you to this place for a reason. You must lock away the evil within before madness consumes both your group and the rest of the human race.

As always, EHA put on an amazing show. Stop back in time and get ready to save the world. Someone made poor life choices, and you’ve an hour to put it all right. No pressure. This room is spooky, but not scary. We have done the Cabin multiple times, and that definitely had us more worked up in here, but don’t expect jump scares or live actors in this escape. The immersion is still the best in the business, though!

Loveeeeed our game master. He was super in character, super funny and helpful! I love having a live actor in the room with us that's not scary. Very well themed room, enjoyed every bit of it including asking for clues!
