Houston is a sprawling metropolis, full of intermingling cultures, diverse cuisine, and a broad variety of exciting attractions. If you plan to visit Downtown Houston with the family, then a double decker bus tour will provide lasting memories for all. Of course, if you aren’t visiting with the family, then The Church of Beer might be more to your taste. And if historical attractions are more to your liking, then a biking tour of Historical Downtown could be for you. It also happens to be that there may be no better place in Texas for experiencing some incredible and creative escape rooms. Houston has somehow become a great hidden gem on the US’s southern border, and is surely worth a visit sometime soon.

WOW! Absolutely stunning experience! We have done over 200 escapes and now see why this one was rated #1 in the US. It was so full of emotion, has unique puzzles and the immersion and acting is top. I enjoyed every moment from start to finish and left with a such surreal feeling. This room is an experience AND an escape room! We were honestly blown away by it. 100% earned and deserving of the #1 spot.

Can you and your teammates escape from the prison because you have been wrongly accused of a crime and your cell that once belonged to a person who was murdered?

The first 2/3 of the game are fantastic. The set design is fantastic, having the team separated and working together to get out is a blast, and the puzzles are clever, unique, and on theme. Prison Break is also really immersive. It doesn't feel like an escape room... until the last room. The end no longer feels like a Prison Break and the immersion falls away. It largely becomes a situation of "solve these random puzzles for... some reason". That being said, the first 2/3 of the room still definitely make it a room worth doing, especially with a team of 4-7 people.

Your humble spaceship is blindsided by a ferocious and hungry black hole. If it’s not stopped within the hour, the entire solar system will be consumed! Your only hope is a nearby space station harboring antimatter to blow the black hole (and everything around it) to smithereens! Feed the antimatter to the black hole to end its rampage and save the solar system!

This may be one of my favorite from The Escape Game, right behind Playground!   Mostly mechanical puzzles, with a handful of high tech elements.  The puzzles were almost all multi-phased.  This room required team work throughout the entire game!

IT STARTED AS A ROUTINE OPERATION
You and your fellow field agents were sent to investigate the area’s local market. It’s late, it’s quiet… but something’s not quite right. Just as you are about to wrap up your inspection, you encounter a twist you never expected. Should you have seen this coming?

I just loved the area you step into! Reminded me of places like Morocco! The design was immersive. Lighting was well done. The progression of the game was a surprise in itself in more ways than one. Most of the game was non-linear; you can be solving 2 puzzles at once.

The puzzles were a mix of mechanical and tech (which made sense) - based on observation and logic. A team of 4 is well suited for this game (doable with 3 experienced players as well). The overall difficulty is not bad. It would be fun for both new and experienced players.

Zombie Apocalypse Live is a zombie shooting experience featuring live actors and utilizing GellyBall Guns. GellyBall is a new game that uses an electric pistol, similar to an airsoft pistol, that shoots an 8mm colored water balloon, allowing for a much lighter impact and no permanent mess. 

Gellyball is completely safe, as it’s much smaller than a traditional paintball. Guests will be required to wear protective eyewear, provided at no extra charge, and will be in a shooting range-style booth shooting into a zombie apocalypse simulator with live actor zombies.

Your experience will last approximately 5 minutes, where you will receive one hopper with 700 rounds of GellyBalls.  See you at the range!

If the virus gets out it could be the end of life as we know it.  Enter a dark industrial  world where the laws of science have been manipulated and decayed. Find out how it feels to be alive as you are trying to survive the walking dead. Welcome to ground zero of the zombie apocalypse!

You and your friends started your trip to the countryside in the best of moods. But a wrong turn on the road, has you wandering in the wilderness. Darkness has already fallen when suddenly, you spotted a source of light. As you approached, you saw an imposing building from another era and a huge sign above its entrance door: DREAMS HOTEL! You decided then, to spend the night here, but when its doors slammed behind you, you already knew that the Dream was about to turn into a Nightmare!

I cannot speak highly enough of this escape room. I have done about 50 rooms, 3 of them at Game Over, and their staff is the friendliest, most welcoming and attentive game masters of any rooms I have been to. Not to mention this room is incredible with so many surprises!

My second room at the escape game! It made me confident that the quality of their rooms is consistently great! They keep up the great set design, great puzzle design, and make sure that each room has something special to allow it to stand out. Fantastic work!

The Depths

There is urban legend about a notorious train robber The Rattlesnake who murdered the sheriff and ran off with the town's money.  Your team will travel back in time to the Slocum School House to discover what happened to the sheriff and solve who this mystery bandit was.

Simply amazing. We have done over 100 escape rooms and Outlaw is my new favorite. We were in town for a banana ball game and just stopped in before our trip home - and was the best decision. It was fantastic - and not your typical western theme. Great story, solid puzzles, smooth transitions, and top tier props. We laughed and wow’d almost the full game. Took us 41 minutes of solid curiosity and “oh that’s clever!” moments. Game maker made it fun if we needed a nudge. I wish we had more time to do the next rooms, so we will absolutely be back.

My Grandfather William T Johnson built this cabin with his bare hands on the edge of the mining town many years ago. I have so many fond memories of my Grandpa and his Cabin. But my favorite is this old story of an idol treasure he swore he found in his days at the mine. The problem is, he never told anyone where it was. Now my father, William Johnson the 2nd, always told me that he was just a crazy old man  and the idol was a hoax. But I never stopped believing that the idol was indeed  real.  That’s where you come in. Your team is going to help me find the idol before this storm comes through and washes this old cabin a way for good!

Was worth the hike!  Great non-spooky cabin room! Whoever this William has, he has a bunch of clever puzzles with clever inputs and tactile scenery and fun props. Lots of different locks, but each way to open was different, with some higher tech than others. Not too hard for our smaller group of 2. Where there’s a Will, there’s a way out!
