Nevermore

I had such lofty expectations for this room in particular as this room was wish-listed since last November when I read about an escape room in the country in someone’s basement in NC The plot of a great horror movie to be sure. I can say without hesitation my expectations were stratospherically exceeded so much so I could have played the room immediately after finishing just to be a part of the story again Before the room, I want to talk about the owners first They are wonderful, magnanimous and beyond hospitable with their time. We got to spend around 40 minutes after our session just chatting rooms, their build and getting a peek behind the curtain. Their love and passion truly came through Now for the room: it’s just amazing. The flow is impeccable the attention to detail such as knowing Poe was a big fan of certain topics and those topics came to life in the experience (avoiding spoilers) - chefs kiss immersion I can go on about their hint system being innovative, the sound fx and music, the mapping of clues, etc - my advise is don’t read this or any reviews - go in cold and enjoy the narrative The only downside to the room is that it ended. We actually delayed our ending to find a few hidden tokens that were offered as souvenirs- highly recommended this add-on btw I truly wish I could forget this room to play it again for the first time to feel a part of a different world immersed in the sights and sounds of Poes work. Truly a remarkable room The tidbits: Residential area and you park in the driveway towards the end of it (near the garage) Opportunity to gas up and eat prior with some local places They only run one room at a time This room can fit 6 but try it for a date night as a couple; you won’t be disappointed Buy some merch

Nevermore truly mystified me. I’ve played many premium games, most flashy and exciting, but this game instilled such a rare blend of cozy and eerie feelings akin to actually curling up and reading Poe. The puzzles themselves were so beautifully layered and engaging, I couldn’t get enough. Combine that with one of the most fully realized takes on a haunted manor set (complete with impressive yet tasteful special effects), I couldn’t get enough of this game. Very few games play In this territory, that being beautiful restraint, but it’s clear Nocturne Adventures had a clear, cohesive vision that they more than achieved.

10 out of 10! We loved Nevermore! Absolutely worth the trip—the game is top notch. Unique theme, incredible atmosphere, fun puzzles and great hosts. A must do that will satisfy beginners and enthusiasts alike!

This experience was incredible. Very intricate & immersive environment. The puzzles flowed well and made complete sense. All of the elements were excellent—no faulty locks or furniture. A SUPER solid escape room!! Loved it.

The theme is very well done and the puzzles are nice. The staff are wonderful and we had a great time talking with them after the game.

I honestly cannot say enough good things. We have done escape rooms all over the country both rooms top 1% and the ripper room is my favorite. HIGHLY recommend

The gameplay was so smooth, the puzzles were satisfying, and we were treated very well. This is a really unique venue, I highly suggest paying them a visit.

Nevermore was a delightfully entertaining game with a variety of puzzles and left us engaged the whole game. There were neat lighting changes when appropriate that added a very nice touch. Set design was theme appropriate and nothing seemed out of place. The owners are so wonderful and I am so grateful we got to spend time sharing stories. This business is definitely an experience from being an escape room in a residential basement to engaging with the actors. What a great time.

Amazing!

This feels like what escape rooms are supposed to be. Artists creating art and inviting you into it. The owners here are clearly escape room lovers. You won’t find broken props or careless game masters. No spoilers but some excellent surprises here and we loved it!!
