L'Île perdue de la Reine Vaudou [The Lost Island of the Voodoo Queen]

Super scenario. Everything is well done. I had a smile on my face the whole way through. The set design is insane, the immersion, total!

Fantastic escape room! Probably most like your traditional escape room, but phenomenal compared to your neighborhood one.

This room is more like a traditional escape room and was enjoyable for that fact. The story was fun and our game master was fantastic. He really made our experience better! He had funny little quips as the game was going on and it made the game all the more enjoyable. Probably not my favorite game at Escaparium, but still worth the play! I still really enjoyed myself!

So disappointed when we did this room, about 1 year ago, I'm not totally sure, but the decor and the story were really fantastic, but unfortunately our GM wasn't following along with us, and at the end of the game, there was a major glitch in the building, no light at all in the final room, and I get the feeling that instead of telling us, they just let us pay without being able to experience the real thing, impossible to see anything at the end of the adventure, my partner tripped and broke her glasses, we had to leave the room because the GM wasn't responding anymore, thankfully this is our only bad experience at Escaparium. But still an evening that left a bitter taste

I would love to like this experience more, it has some cool elements - the set is beautiful, the hint system is interesting, however, there are a few things that keep me from fully enjoying the room. 1) the audio can be improved, I had a hard time hearing the introduction which took me out of the experience early on before the game officially started. 2) part of floor in the 2nd half of the room felt unsafe, it is wobbly for no reason. 3) throughout the game, I kept hearing footsteps and things banging somewhere, which distracted me for a long time. 4) One puzzle in particular is a bit vague. 5) the room is too dark in my opinion Other than that, this is a high production value room just like most of the other rooms in Escapraium Laval.

Really well done!!

Easily the best pirate-themed game we’ve played to date. Apart from the impressive set (no spoilers!), this game had a lot of clever mechanics, from the way the GM’s presence is inserted into the game to the “crew” aboard the ship. Escaparium’s newer rooms have taken it to another level and might therefore overshadow this one, but it’s still a world-class experience no matter which way you look at it.

Escaparium has the best escape games!

We did the ctrl + alt first and voodoo second, I’d say this one has more puzzle if you are into the puzzle solving and ctrl alt feels more like you are experiencing an adventure. Both are good but I’m just super blown away by ctrl alt and this one feels more like a traditional escape room

They told us we are the new record holders for this room. So that is cool. We loved this room. The theme is awesome and the set had a special feature that we have never seem before and also a super unique puzzle we have never seen before and I doubt we will again. One of the characters is also super cute and really well done. Very creative and I really enjoyed it. Because we got out so quickly, we had lots of time to talk with the gamemaster after the fact and he showed us around the set. It's fantastic. So over the top and awesome. The puzzles were also alot of fun and on theme as well. Definitely another must-do at Escaparium Laval.
