The Wine VaultGrapevine EscapeEscape roomIRLJust a great classic escape room. Many puzzles, some unique from any else we had seen as of this point (40 games). With the main three games completed here let me say this, every room here is fantastic! Hurray for Grapevine Escape!
Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle AdventureEscapology - McKinneyEscape roomIRLConsider this an escape room that can serve as a great first ever room. And even better one that can be lead by younger players with ease.
Legend of the YetiThe Escape Game - Grapevine MillsEscape roomIRLGreat addition to this location. Incorporated into the layout of what use to be Gold Rush and you’d never really know it. The atmosphere is top notch for an escape room and the puzzle are both simple enough at times for players playing one of their first rooms but also clever enough for veterans of escape rooms.

Special Ops: The Fate of Agent SmithBack In Time Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis was a solid game from start to finish. A fun challenge that flows well each step of the way. Many puzzles to solve, and *whew🥵 with 2:57 minutes left. Any one/group probably needs a solid 50 minutes. Enjoyed this one a lot❤️
FocusTec LabsGrapevine EscapeEscape roomIRLThis establishment continues to be one of, if not the, best escape rooms place I could ever recommend! Our second room at this location, and honestly it continues to be amazing. We played this game with two players and we loved it! Three to four could be ideal as there are simply a lot of puzzles to solve and with only one maybe two slower/thinking moments we only had just under 3 minutes remaining. I like this though. It’s challenging in just the right ways and a long enough game to feel like you get your money’s worth. The props are great, that story is solid, we had one of the best GMs we’d ever had, it had better takes on puzzle types we had seen before and a few we hadn’t seen before. FocusTec Labs and Enchanted Cottage both have spot on theming, and the immersion is top notch. Had an amazing GM who graciously talked escape room experiences after the game finished, his passion was seen while we played. I could go on and on, but I would never spoil this room, it deserves your time, come to Grapevine Escape ASAP!
Western Bank HeistEscape the Room - San AntonioEscape roomIRLI’m not going to do the breakdown questions, and I will be honest I am between a dislike and a like in this room… however, the absolute best thing about this room and honestly it’s worth doing this room for this alone: the real “historic”set pieces. The pictures others have shared and even the escape the room website pictures can help to show you. Maybe this comes from a person that hasn’t done more than about 25 rooms at the time of writing but the real old post office boxes, the wooden structure that separates the different portions of the room, the “island” wooden prop. Anyway this is a mediocre game but worth a peek.
Enchanted CottageGrapevine EscapeEscape roomIRLA fully immersive experience in a one room game even the means on how to solve the clues adds to the experience. Balance of manual locked and high tech pieces. After 30 games there were moments in this room that I never experienced before. 2-4 people is perfect. So much fun!
Only Murders in the Building [Season 4] - CLOSEDThe Escape Game - Grapevine MillsEscape roomIRLI think my overall feelings towards this room, is that it’s okay but maybe not satisfying. For those who know the Escape Game at this location, they have the game The Heist. I mentioned that, because this experience, although themed to Only Murders in the Building as the name suggests, it was created from an old version of The Heist game. Same three room rooms just with different clues, although I’d say several of the clues have a shared “gimmick”. Overall, the room was quite simple, which is probably another letdown as the cost per player was already a few dollars more than the other games that they have. For sure you do not want to have more than three players. For this one. I could see this one being good for beginners and maybe if you hadn’t done this location “the heist” recently, like we had, maybe this one would fill fresher. I’d say this is a weak showing from The Escape Game group.
Diner 79Celebration Escape Rooms [prev. Room 5280]Escape roomIRLA non-linear mostly simple room. A few clues needed a very keen eye but otherwise I could see this being just a step or two above beginner level. Many tricks of other escape rooms are present. Lock locations are in interesting places that go along with the theme of the room, which gives the room an even better play. One puzzle didn’t work as designed but it didn’t bother our game. Overall a really fun room that is probably best played with three to five people.
The Ring MasterDimensions Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLSolid room for all players. I think kids and lower experienced players will like this one even more than those with many rooms played. My 12 year old really enjoyed himself. I’d say it would be best played with 3. It is a darker room. There is some light, but I founded I need my phone light once or twice. As others have said it’s not linear, however that enhanced the experience in my opinion. Unlike some games where the group will end up huddled around the latest clue this one kept us moving the whole time. Two moments in the game spooked my son which was funny. It’s worth a try.
Operation HoneycombQuandary Escape AdventuresEscape roomIRLMy wife and I brought our sons (12&10) and we had a good time. It’s probably suited for a 2 to 3 person team. Interestingly, this room has a few different “difficulties”. Our room guide asked us which one we wanted (we went easy because of ours sons, but we could have gone harder) she later explained some of the changes based on difficulty selected at the beginning. This could make this room more entertaining to seasoned Escape Room Enthusiasts by going with the hardest setting but still allows first timers with the lowest. 🏁
