The Man From BeyondStrange Bird ImmersiveEscape roomIRLI walked out of The Man From Beyond genuinely in awe. I didn’t know an escape room could make me feel that much. This is a perfect blend of immersive theater and escape-room experience. You’re not trying to “escape.” You’re involved in discovering and helping solve a rich, emotional story. By the end, I felt personally invested, not only in the mystery but in Madame Daphne herself. The live performance element is absolutely essential and surprisingly real. It never feels like an actor was added on top of an escape room. It feels completely integrated into the world, the story, and the gameplay. The puzzles are satisfying, highly unique, logical, and challenging without feeling unfair. More importantly, they are completely diegetic and germane to the room, which is exactly what makes the whole experience feel so immersive. The production design is on par with a high-level theatrical set design. It made it feel like I was genuinely in a séance room. The lighting design and special effects are top tier, and there is one significant story moment that takes a wild turn and throws you fully into the experience in the best possible way. I would absolutely recommend this to immersive experience seekers, haunters, escape-room enthusiasts, theatre lovers, and even casual players looking for something unforgettable. The only caveat is that some moments may be too intense for younger players under 12. It absolutely lives up to its reputation. This is easily one of my top three immersive experiences ever. 13/10.
Wizard's TaleEscape Again RoomsEscape roomIRLSuper fun game. One of the better "Wizard" games I've played. Several "aha!" Moments interrupted with puzzles that were clever and intuitive; relatively to your experience level. The set design was incredible given the space! Jason's voice acting skills really kept the immersion alive throughout the experience!
William's HikeEscape Again RoomsEscape roomIRLWe went in knowing this was this locations easier room... So we did it before their harder room, Wizards Tale as a warm up. It's perfect for beginners and intermediate with no help.
Clue - A Walking Mystery [Outdoor] - CLOSEDCLUE: A Walking Mystery - ChicacoEscape roomIRLPop upDid this game in it's run in Mesa, AZ. No time clock to beat, just have the right accusations. The props were robust and handled the hundreds of players every weekend. Solid play. Apparently there are two versions of this game hopping around the US. I've played both.
Mogollon Monster: Scouting for Arizona's BigfootThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLI've known about this place for years but most, if not all, of my local escape room friends had long done these experiences. The monster effects were unexpected and I yelled for a few scenes, which was very welcomed. Just the right amount of scare without being over the top.
Henchmen’s HeistThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLAmazing set dressing and gameplay. I'm not a huge fan of linear puzzling and this was VERY. At one point only two people can pay a certain puzzles. We were only two but I can see larger groups having an issue with this. Overall though, still an amazing experience. Classic escape room with modem up to date tech and touches.
Himitsu Station - The Forgotten MarketsHimitsu StationEscape roomIRLOne of my Top 5 experiences ever! Stellar design and layout. Arrival at Himitsu Station The sign flickered in the rain. I had arrived at Himitsu Station, the first stop on my way to Akihabara Electronic Town. They say the Shopkeeper of Dreams still waits there, surrounded by stalls that bustle in forgotten languages. Inside, the station air felt thicker than outside. The tiled walls seemed to listen. I waited on the platform, clutching my case, awaiting my turn. 駅長タイラー Ekichō Tyler, the station master, appeared behind the counter and spoke softly. “The train will come soon. And when it does, you’ll be ready to find what was lost.” That left me puzzled. He left, but the train never came. The platform lights buzzed and dimmed, leaving only the soft glow of that strange vending machine in the corner. A pink cat’s face smiled back at me, its eyes too alive for something made of metal. I found a stray coin under the bench, inserted it into the machine, pressed my selection… and the world shifted. The tiles peeled into light, the air bent around me, and suddenly I was standing in a market that stretched beyond sight. Neon stalls flickered with foreign symbols, and vendors whispered in tongues I couldn’t name. This wasn’t Akihabara as I remembered it. It was an alternate version that traded in something far rarer than electronics and nicknacks. Every stall-keeper offered sundries containing fragments of dreams, memories. and ethereal identities. The currency were these unique copper coins. I could feel these hum like heartbeats in my hand. Somewhere in that endless maze, the Shopkeeper of Dreams was waiting, smiling behind a wall of porcelain Maneki Cats, ready to make his trade. “Every coin here hums with a memory. Every bargain takes a little more of who you were,” the shopkeeper said. “How much are you willing to forfeit?” I was taken aback by this offering. Apparently, here… the currency was souls! I wasn’t prepared to make such a decision. He continued, “Maybe you can make it back. Maybe not. The ones who wander through our alleys say you never really leave… not completely.” He handed me a spare coin. I held it in my hand and felt it pulse. It’s mine… or maybe just a piece of something that once was. If I ever find my way back, it won’t be to the same reality. And if my soul survives, it’ll be different too, threaded with whispers from this place. The question isn’t if I’ll return. It’s who I’ll be when I do.
Dragon's QuestAlcatraz Escape Games [prev. Escape Utah - Castle of Chaos]Escape roomIRLIf you love DnD, LotR, or anything medieval you will absolutely love this experience! From what I’ve heard it’s one of the MUST DO games in the SLC area, and I agree! I would definitely do it again as there is so much to do in this room.
Sal's CyberneticsThe Immersive MachineEscape roomIRLI've done 110+ rooms and ran my own escape room business and this place had puzzles even I'd never played before. I love a good non-linear escape room and Sal's Cybernetics did NOT disappoint. You can tell there's a lot of passion poured into this room by it's creators. Every inch of this place had details that enhanced the immersion. I came here with high expectations and it still blew me away. Playing this game, you can tell there's a world beyond it and after speaking with the creator I can't wait till the other chapters are developed and built. This game is one of the best rooms in the valley and a must play!!
Diamond QuestParanoia Quest - TempeEscape roomIRLMy cousins and I played Diamond Quest! Very ingenious puzzles. Can't wait to travel through the other two portals. Jordan was very attentive to our team!
Jurassic World: EscapeUniversal Studios OrlandoEscape roomIRLI have a lot to say about this experience relative to the main stream blogosphere. A Seamless High-Tech Experience with Universal Flair! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had an unexpectedly great time here! ⚡🕵️♀️ From start to finish, everything ran super smooth – almost to a fault because each room is timed ⏱️, so you’re always moving! Definitely helped keep the energy up the whole way through. This one’s all about the tech! 🖥️🧩 Touchscreens, and clever tasks. It felt really modern and high-end, and because the play mechanic is computerized I can see how it can give one a great replay value! ♻️ Theming was absolutely stunning ✨ – not a shock since it’s Universal. The rooms looked incredible, and the story we were given fit the theme perfectly. The tasks were fun and just challenging enough. But it must be noted that ALL the puzzles are task oriented. Some took a second to click 🤔, but once they did, we were flying through them. That stated, the task is the same once you get on a roll so the only task variation is from room to room. Not scary at all 👻❌, so kids can totally play, though anyone under 13 will definitely need a adult help for the logic 🧒👨👩👧👦. It’s not super physical either, UNLESS you’re a 2-player group; in that case, be ready to do a little cardio accomplishing y'all's in one or two of the rooms! 🏃💨 Shoutout to the staff (Razz), they were friendly, helpful, and knew their stuff 🙌. Nothing in the rooms were broken, everything worked perfectly ✅, and while there weren’t any live actors, the whole experience was super immersive. Bonus: the game is very accessible ♿ and easy to find on the Universal City Walk map 📍. Parking: Easy 🚗 Tech level: Through the roof ⚙️💡 Scare level: 1/10 spooky vibes Best for: Groups of 2-5 👯♂️👯 Age: 13+ recommended, younger with help The only negative is I would love to see selfies and pictures allowed in the experience! 📸 If you’re into slick, high-tech escape games with amazing visuals and task based gameplay, you’ll have a great time here. If you're wanting a traditional lock/key and cipher/logic puzzles you'll be disappointed. We’re already thinking about running it back with my kiddos!
Weird HeritageThe Haus Live Escape GamesEscape roomIRL✨Haus Escape is an absolute gem for first time players and escape room enthusiasts alike! ✨ From the moment you step inside, the space feels deceptively expansive—like a real-life TARDIS🚀—bigger and more immersive than you’d expect from the outside. 🏠➡️🏢 The puzzles? They’re not only clever but also well designed, seamlessly blending into the theme and creating genuine “Cool!” moments.🧩👌🏽 **SPOILER ALERT** If their current offering is any indication, their new steampunk-themed room is bound to be a great experience. Can’t wait to see how they bring gears, gadgets, and Victorian sci-fi to life!⚙️🕰️

Escape The City - San Antonio [Outdoor]Escapely - San AntonioEscape roomOther The way this company incorporates the landmarks of the city is super clever! We had the opportunity to play test this and will soon be selling it at our business. Perfect for tourists and locals alike!
S.E.R.A - CLOSEDEscape Room San Antonio - Stone OakEscape roomIRLThere were a lot of number locks with four digit combos. Some keys opened multiple locks even thought we were told one key/one lock. Had several clever puzzles. The story could use a little polish. The ending was on and could use a little more aha! Otherwise it's an ok room.
The Other SideExtreme Escape - Stone OakEscape roomIRLFun but VERY easy. Would be perfect for a group of under 12 kids
