Very unique mechanics and gameplay. So whimsical. Need more rooms like this and less scary rooms. Would do it again in a heart beat!
The Wine VaultGrapevine EscapeEscape roomIRLAnother solid room, definitely worth doing! I have done well over the 100 escape rooms and this was the first wine themed room I’ve ever done! This room is more traditional with lots traditional locks but great none the less.
The Sunken RuinsPortal Adventures - BeavertonEscape roomIRLAwesome room! Tried to complete with just my parter and myself but got less than half way through. Because we are from out of town and we loved the room so much we had to finish and tried again that night. We were given a big discount for the 2nd try, greatly appreciated!! Our 2nd attempt we brought one more person for an extra set of hands and were able to completely finish! The room is very non-linear so definitely think it would keep a big group busy! Can’t wait to come back and try the other rooms.
Trixie's Tavern TrialsSure Lock Escapes - Stout Oak Adventuring Guild (Kent)Escape roomIRLLove this room and theme! I wish there were more fairy themed escape rooms like this one in the world. I prefer cute and cozy over scary horror any day . Was able to finish this room with 3 minutes to spare using 2 hints. Room is very linear and because of this would not recommend more than 3 people if you are experienced. Was on the pricier side but worth it! Would love to come back and try the other rooms.
Cyber StrikeTick Tock Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLSolid room! Thoughtful and unique puzzles/storyline. Very exciting ending, would recommend with a larger group as well. At least 3 if not 4 or 5. Our group escaped with seconds left to spare.
The Candy FactoryEscapade 360Escape roomIRLWe recently tackled The Candy Factory escape room, and it was a blast from start to finish. Had a team of 3 including my sister, my boyfriend, and myself. We made great progress, but a few extra hands and minds would’ve definitely helped with the more complex puzzles. We made it all the way to the final puzzle but ultimately ran out of time. Had to use several hints to get to that point as well. Even so, I’d still highly recommend this room to anyone looking for a fun, whimsical experience that leans toward the harder/more challenging side.
The Last Video Store in AmericaEscapade 360Escape roomIRLWe played **The Last Video Store in America** as our redemption room, and it delivered! (We didn’t escape The Candy Factory). The movie-themed setting was super nostalgic. This room is perfect for film aficionados but genuinely fun for anyone. The puzzles were clever, unique, and unlike anything we’ve encountered in other rooms. Best of all was Dan, our GM and the mastermind behind the room. Highly recommend!

A lot more exercise than we were expecting my boyfriend was sweaty lol The puzzles/skills games were pretty challenging. Would not recommend for younger kids.
Escape AI [VR]Immersive Gamebox - ArlingtonEscape roomIRLSolid room and a cool concept! Puzzles were on the easier side but still engaging. Also was mixed with a few skills games that was unique. Completed with my boyfriend and I might be a tight room for any more than two. Would recommend!
2 Cool 4 Wizard School - CLOSEDMysterium Escape Rooms And VREscape roomIRLAs a “magical Millennial” and proud Gryffindor obviously loved the theme of this room. Was able to complete with two teammates using no hints. Started off with a “liquid luck” shot at their in house bar. Loved this! Some of the puzzles were a little worn and one part did not completely work but was an easy fix/alternative provided by the GM. Would absolutely recommend!
Crazy Train: The Ballad of Skeemin' PlotzDoldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRLVery difficult at least for me and my partner but we don’t like using hints and like to try to figure out the puzzles by ourselves. They give you 75 mins instead of the usual 60 minutes but it was so hard we had to go back and do the room twice in order to finish. Not sure if a third person would help as the room itself is small. Worth it alone for the artistry and immersion of the room!
Captain Spoopy Bones and the Magnificent Quest For Some Other Pirate's Treasure!Doldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRLBest pirate themed escape room I’ve ever done! I have never seen some of the puzzles used in this room which is always a huge plus from me and my partner! Escaped with the just the two of us using what I would call 1.5 hints and less than a minute left. Must try if you are in the area!
The Voodoo LoungeNumber One Escape RoomEscape roomIRLSolid and very unique room! Says 2-4 players but I personally would not do more than 2 people if you are experienced at escape rooms. Puzzles all made sense and great use of space. Had fun and was able to figure out the bonus puzzle too! Would recommend!

Was able to escape with the two of us with about 10 mins left to figure out the bonus puzzle but the bonus definitely stumped us. Always have a good time at the Black Cats Rooms!
Red GiantQuest Room - PlanoEscape roomIRLWe are based in DC and did Da Vinci the day before and had to come back to do another room at this location and so glad we did. GM was super accommodating and scheduled us right before our flight. One of the best rooms I have ever been in special effects wise. Special effects in this room were so so so cool. Attention to detail was immaculate and really made the experience special. Will be back next time we are in town!

Relatively small room space wise so I don’t think I would have a group much bigger than 4. Loved the theme and the puzzles that went along with it. Definitely had fun and want to come back to try the other rooms!
Runaway TrainBreakout Games - PlanoEscape roomIRLEasy beginner level room but agree with the other reviews, still worth doing. Although it is on the pricey side. Our group of 6 breezed through the room with no hints and finished in under 20 mins. Room itself is small and as it was an easy room would recommend a smaller group. Train theme is cute and made you feel like you were in a train car.
Da Vinci’s ChallengeQuest Room - PlanoEscape roomIRLWas told by the game master this is the hardest room in the DFW area and would have to agree. Was very challenging but pay off was worth it. Definitely need a larger group to complete, our group has 6 and I think this was the perfect number. Whole room was made in house and was beautiful! Super unique puzzles and no locks. Will be back to try their other rooms for sure.
Timeliner: Train Through TimeThe Escape Game - The ColonyEscape roomIRLLoved this “episode” theme! Reminded me of the TVA, very unique and not a theme I’ve seen before. My partner and I were able to finish with over 17 mins left and no hints. Took our time as we really enjoyed the tech and puzzles. We found it very easy but still enjoyable.
