Booby Trap
Think Tank Escape Rooms

One of my favorite rooms to date!! People should aspire to get to this level when building rooms! Creative puzzles, fun for everyone, you can feel the adrenaline when you play!

A bit low tech compared to some escapes I've done before, but I absolutely adored it! I had a great time, did it as a two person team and got out.

A very fun room, I'm not usually a fan of actors but the person acting in the room did a great job in my opinion Edit: we did set the record in the room however the staff didn't tell us our time so we didn't find out until after and only know it was in the 20 minute range.

It was okay, we did the shorter version of the room, they squeezed us in between two teams. I feel like we could have easily done the longer/harder one in the time they had to do everything.

While I adored the theme the final puzzle was convoluted to a point where even when it was explained I had no idea how someone would jump to that conclusion. They allowed you to buy more time to finish it changing a ~5% escape rate to a 15%, but I'm personally against that. They don't offer to explain any puzzles after and the only reason they did the final one for us I think is because we're part of an escape room company who came up to play their rooms (and we were already half way through it, just way way off). There was one puzzle that if you hadn't seen it before - though it is a pretty common one - you wouldn't have known what to do. The area of that puzzle feels like it's set up for something else entirely.

Overall a very meh game, I had a good time because of the company I had with me rather than the room itself. Very lock and key heavy, only one puzzle didn't involve typing in some sort of code. I asked if the room was linear or non-linear, and it quickly because obvious that the non-linear portion of it was only the very beginning, everything else was opening something to get something else. I didn't feel like we really solved anything, we were with three (and a half (the baby was cute, but not very interested in helping)) newbies, making a total of 5.5 of us. We never asked for clues so much as got promoted for the operator to help guide us in the right direction. Guiding us included less fun cryptic hints to help lead us to the answer on our own, and more stopping us before we did anything to make sure we were doing the right thing first, taking away the joy of solving something. This room was supposedly their easiest, I would hate to see the others when the challenge comes from a sheer amount of number and word codes packed into one room.

The atmosphere was severely lacking but the puzzles for the most part were pretty fun. We went with someone who had a major in outdoorsy stuff (not sure what it was called) and they were very excited to do the room.
