This one had great ambience and unique puzzles. I always appreciate rooms that bring the experience to a natural climax regardless of the time of escape. They get how to do this well.
The Secret LabLocked In EdinburghEscape roomIRLThis was our favorite room for the amount of puzzles and variety of puzzles. There is A-LOT to do which made it really challenging for 4 people. But we had so much fun. The staff were amazing too! In the top 3 out of the 35 rooms we’ve done. Extraordinary experience!
The Pirates Cove4 Dreams Escape - BellevueEscape roomIRLZero story. Missing puzzle pieces and clunky mechanics. At one point we got a magnet stuck in the wrong place (even though it was the same shape). Also, we placed a separate item in the correct spot but it’s supposed to be turned around which did not match the outline. Then, I accidentally completed the final puzzle to end the game and leap frogged three other puzzles. It f I could guess the final puzzle from the limited clue then it was obviously not a good puzzle. Finally, the employee was awesome but clearly placed in an unfair position having to facilitate multiple rooms at once while simultaneously greeting visitors walking in from the mall. One of the worst rooms we’ve done. Really not good.

(Just a few from Escape Hour ranked higher) Immersive story, and such a unique use of 80’s nostalgia. And what a first impression! We knew right away this one was gonna be memorable. Excellent host too. Outstanding experience!

It’s he first room to not force us to crawl or climb if that gives you an indication of how high the bar is for their experiences. Probably our least favorite of the 4 but this room is miles above the others we’ve done with most other companies. As always, excellent customer service, ambience and unique game play. Just can’t go wrong with escape hour.

Guardians' GroveSure Lock Escapes – Cypher Island (Renton)Escape roomIRLAnother great one from Sure Lock. I think this is our 6th room with them. This is the longest timed room in Washington and definitely one of the most challenging ones we’ve faced. Before we started, I loved how the host asked us how we’d like our clues? We opted for them not to share any with us until we ask and that was a nice customization of the experience. Immersive environment with unique puzzles as always with sure lock. My only negative on this one was that the wood panels in the last room were very difficult to read- even with our phone cameras on. Overall, just an excellent experience.
Spell StruckThe Escape Artist - West SeattleEscape roomIRLSure Lock does it again! We celebrated our 30th room together by heading over to their newest location in West Seattle. We had already done nearly all the other rooms in their Renton and Kent locations and this one did not disappoint. Great ambience from the moment you enter the lobby. Impeccable customer service, unique puzzles, fun surprises and enough to do for all three of us at once. Just so nice to find a local company with such high standards. We know if it’s a sure lock room, it’s gonna be good.
