Gamemaster had a great sense of when to let us figure it out and when to give a gentle nudge. We had a lot of fun playing this game.
Candy WorldAmazing Escape Room - EdisonEscape roomIRLA very different kind of escape in a real life Candyland kind of setting. Logical puzzles with more button pushing than I’ve seen in other escapes. Our gamemaster was one of the friendliest we have encountered and really wanted us to escape.
Subway EscapeBrighton AsylumEscape roomIRLLoved the subway atmosphere. Great attention to detail in set design. Mid game the power went out in whole complex. Staff did everything they could to get it restored and once they did we resumed the game. Variety of puzzle types. Gamemaster was very helpful. Fun game but with a part we were a little unsure if it was part of the game or behind the scenes of the room. Industrial area with awful roads leading to place so drive carefully once you’re in the complex.
Tiki Treasure BoatAmazing Escape Room - EdisonEscape roomIRLWhat a fun trip to the Tiki Bar! Great set and gameplay with no locks and keys or combo locks to decipher. Fun atmosphere with a nice surprise middle element that includes some movement. Lots of the big manipulatives that we love. Very logical puzzles. Got tripped up on one of the last logic puzzles and gamemaster was great with asking if we wanted help as time ticked down but let us work through it. A great time.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz13th Hour Escape Room - WhartonEscape roomIRLWow! Was looking forward to this room opening for months and it exceeded our expectations. So many fun, creative, story themed puzzles to work though. Still not sure how they pulled off one transition but when they say “sit down” you should sit :) We wanted to replay the room immediately and Oz quickly jumped into a top spot of our list of favorite games played. Hats off to the designers of this game.
High Speed NYCExit Escape Room NYCEscape roomIRLCome for the set, play for the fun varied puzzles. It’s a lot for two people but we made it. It’s easy to get immersed in the set but it’s a great story to travel through also. Highly recommend checking it out.

Easy to get caught up in the start setting and some final puzzles in plain sight. A room that builds in story, setting, and puzzle variety as you go.

Lots to manipulate, lots to observe, lots of puzzles to assemble. Good communication is important so if you can assemble enough players (4-6) to keep it private I would suggest it.
The HeistThe Escape Game - New JerseyEscape roomIRLTackled the Heist in a public room with another group. Plenty of puzzles to be solved by splitting up and communicating with each other. Design and props are strong and good variety of puzzles. One of those rooms you quickly have a lot of keys and codes but have to discover how to use them.

They even use brackets where it takes two combos to open two locks to get a box open. Pretty repetitive-find a word or number open a box with a clue towards next boxes combo. To get clues you have to hit a button and the GM comes into the room.
Sacred StonesSolve It SherlockEscape roomIRLAmazing set design and puzzles. Details, details, details. Great to see a Mayan temple setting and puzzles that fit the theme perfectly. Game Master was gave us room to figure things out but well timed nudges when we needed them. Team of two that just escaped on time with a lot of hustling at the end. Overall a truly immersive experience.
The Gate13th Hour Escape Room - WhartonEscape roomIRLAfter completing many other escapes at 13th hour this room doesn’t share the same overall theme and detail as their other rooms. The Stargate theme was fun for a science fiction fan like me. Puzzles were good and set design too. Completed the room with just the two of us. We had fun playing but definitely a lighter, easier room for that location.

Who thought a kids bedroom could house such a wide variety of on-theme (and on-prop) puzzles? I’ve heard they have tweaked the story a little from when we played- but the story line was one of the best we’ve ever played. Creative puzzles including one I just kept saying wow over and over again after we solved it. Will play again to see if new owners changed much and to just enjoy the gameplay one more time.

Had so much fun moving through the room. A lot of hiding in plain sight codes and solutions. Really had a great speakeasy feel of hidden spaces.
The Wild West - CLOSEDAmazing Escape Room - FreeholdEscape roomIRLThe games plays a lot like a 8 chapters of a great western novel stitched together with the last few chapters written in a different genre and style. I like an escape room with a twist but it felt like too much of a jump. Good puzzles and great set design but felt a bit schizophrenic.

The dark room helped set the vibe but did make it a bit tougher to distinguish similar colors in a room where color is important to escape the room.
PirateEscape The PuzzleEscape roomIRLUnique, hand crafted puzzles. Very immersive. We were warned it’s a lot of room for only two people and they are right. We had a blast though and came close to escaping. Great design and execution.
Legend of the PinesSolve It SherlockEscape roomIRLYou really do step into another world with this escape. Detailed, well crafted set. Logical, story driven puzzles. Perfect game for a small team. One of the best endings to an escape room that we’ve played.
