Mystery At Innsmouth: An Official Arkham Horror Escape RoomHourglass EscapesEscape roomIRLI’d say this was slightly more difficult than we had thought- we asked about 3 clues and beat the game just in time. On a scale level, I’d rank it more challenging than Dive to Atlantis. Partially because this game requires you to multi task and solve several things at once- so teamwork is particularly important- avoid everyone crowding one puzzle at the same time. The setting was spooky but the theme was slightly elusive for us. We didn’t quite get the folklore /hotel theme. But we enjoyed the game nonetheless!
Aunt Millie's MillionsKryptoScape Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis was a fun one! We asked about 5 clues and had 2 minutes left on the clock in the end. We had 5 ppl and all of us contributed in some ways by utilizing math, music, and cognitive skills! The atmosphere was similar to a group of people trapped in someone else’s mansion while trying to uncover family secrets.
Spell StruckThe Escape Artist - West SeattleEscape roomIRLWe completed Spell Struck with 5 people- we asked for around 10 clues and were able to beat the game with seconds left! The puzzles were quite innovative and the atmosphere was quite mysterious, much like a group of travelers trapped in a cabin in the woods sort of scenario. I would say it relies a bit more on reading and assembling various pieces into one than other escape rooms I’ve been to. My team had a blast.
Dive To AtlantisThe Escape Artist - West SeattleEscape roomIRLI did this with 5 other ppl and we all had a blast! The atmosphere was lit and the motion of the room added to the suspense, as if we were really trapped in a submarine! It was interactive and really took the entire group to collaborate in order to solve all the puzzles. We used about 65min out of the allotted 70min and asked about 5 clues in order to escape. The plus was definitely the atmosphere and the well-crafted set design (A+). I came in with a rough idea about how the room would look like and still ended up being surprised in the best possible way! I would say the difficultly was slightly above average- it was slightly harder than Auntie Millie’s Millionaire (Lynnwood) .
Steam-Powered S.O.SKryptoScape Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis is a fun room! Many innovative puzzles that I’ve not seen elsewhere. The decorations are quite clever and well planned out. This room is on the easier side compared to other escape rooms. But that did not stop us from having fun nonetheless.
Museum LockdownKryptoScape Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI went with 4 other ppl (3 children above age 10) and we had a great time- we were close, like 95% there, but was unable to solve the last few puzzles for we spent too much time on the first part. But they felt accomplished nonetheless. The room had a few cool gadgets and effects that added to the experience. I was able to escape Auntie’s Millionaire so underestimated this one.
ZeppelinConundroom - Avalon ParcsquareEscape roomIRLThis might be my favorite escape room I’ve ever been to ( I’ve done around 10 so far, including Alice and Ghostship at Redmond’s Conundroom) We were able to escape with seconds left along with another teammate. It’s definitely more fun if you have fewer than 5 ppl (3-4ideally). Since you’d get more things to do. The set design is so cool! I felt I was really trapped in an airship while trying desperately to get the power started again before we all plummet to our death. I’m not big on engineer and mechanics, but the interior truly won me over. And the first puzzle indeed surprised us in a good way! I just thought it was so clever and I quickly became super immersed in the narrative.
Batman™: The Dark Knight ChallengeEscapology - Raleigh HillsEscape roomIRLBeing a Batman fan myself, it was especially fun for me to get to see many of my favorite characters weaved into the story! You’re an apprentice being assigned to a “trial test” to see if you’re sharp enough to work alongside Batman! There were some awesome tech/digital elements, plus some detective work involved! I was able to escape the room with another person with 2min on the clock! I’d say 2-3 ppl would probably be the sweet spot! We asked about 4 clues. This room is light on the math and more on problem solving and spotting patterns.
Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient ExpressEscapology - LynnwoodEscape roomIRLThis was a fun and somewhat challenging room! I’d say it’d be best to have 4ppl; 5 might feel a bit tight, since some space was a bit narrow at times. The set was beautifully set up- everything was new and well decorated. It’s especially interesting if you’ve read the novel or have seen the movie. For the game play itself- it involves a lot of collecting evidence and solving numbers. We asked for around 5 hints and was able to beat the game with 3mins remaining on the clock.
