Mr Copplestone's Curiosity ShoppeEscape Quest United KingdomEscape roomIRLThis has shot to the top of our list as our all time Favourite. You could do this a beginner and love it, but they’ve definitely played to the enthusiasts carefully and I love the fact that you’ll get the whole hour, regardless of how good or bad you are solving puzzles. It would also really suit bigger groups, but we had plenty of fun as a two. Can’t wait to bring our friends back next time to try one of their others when they rotate games!
VikingExtremescapeEscape roomIRLYou can tell this is their most recent room. Many more of the puzzles are automated (both with correct and incorrect answers (!)). The ending reveal is great and really finishes off the room with a finale. Loved this. Really impressed with all three of their games and would highly recommend. (This game would probably scare younger kids. The soundtrack is appropriate but loud at some points and there are a few moments that are a bit dark with flashing lights - anyone at senior school would be fine, maybe a bit younger with parental guidance)
OrbitalBreak Escape Nottingham - Market StreetEscape roomIRLNice room. Theme isn’t novel but it’s excellently executed. Tech all works. No padlocks. Would suit most groups including enthusiasts. It on the top floor, so make sure you’re happy climbing 3-4 flights of stairs to get in. Nothing scary.
The Ram RaidEscape ReadingEscape roomIRLReally enjoyed this bank heist. It followed a classic theme. The safe was a great bit of set design and was really in theme. I like that there were also some Mechanical puzzles as well. And a bit of a surprise really made me laugh in the vault. Good job, looking forward to doing your other rooms.
The Guardian Of The GalleryRushden Escape Rooms [prev. Want to Escape]Escape roomIRLOne of our favourite rooms. Love the set and gameplay. Hosted well. Give it a go!
The Lost TempleProdigy Escapes And ExperiencesEscape roomIRLWe visited this as two experienced adult escapist and an increasingly experienced 9 year old escapist. The puzzles were interactive and logical enough for our 9 year old to attempt and enjoy. There were some mechanical puzzles (that I loved) that others may find a bit tricky. Dan had some good suggestions for those. Nicely themed, good puzzles, well hosted. We’ll happily try one of the others next time we’re in the South West!
Lost TombExtremescapeEscape roomIRLOverall a good challenge. Will suit a team who enjoy searching into every nook And cranny… some nice touches with the set
The Legend Of Foole's GoldClockwork EscapesEscape roomIRLI do love a game that has you using the whole of your hour. First time in a while where I felt a third player would have really helped us. The intentionally dark and dusty set is not scary in any way but might put some off - personally I loved it. Some great ah-ha moments and a great in character Gm
OzXscapeNowEscape roomIRLAnother fantastic offering by the Xscape now team. Brilliant set and scenery. Plenty of puzzles styles to keep you interested. Everything is logical. We made it out with no clues, so although it says ‘hard’ it never felt stressful. This room would also be completely fine for kids (I would have happily taken my 7 year old who has done a few rooms with us - kids would need some guidance but would be completely fine and they will love the munchkin house. Great work guys.
