Moriarty's ManorMindFox EscapeEscape roomIRLFantastic puzzles, set, and story. Definitely recommend at least 3 people, ideally 4. Some lock-and-key, some combination, and lots of other more inventive solutions. Great flow to the room with clear clues and progression. GM was also lovely!
The Cabin 2.0New Mexico Escape Room - McLeod LocationEscape roomIRLGreat room! Excellent spooky effects, good flow of puzzles and story. Great variety of styles and cool types of interactivity. Highly recommend, but only for those ok with scary rooms (I hid behind my partner multiple times). Puzzles were challenging but fair. Doable with 2 people.
Black and White CafeMindFox EscapeEscape roomIRLThe GM tells you up front that this is a single room so it was super neat to see how much was packed into one space. Great variety of puzzles. Absolutely adorable vibes- somehow they managed to make an escape room chill and cozy! Fairly easy room but highly recommend as it was very fun. The ending will put a smile on your face for sure! Plus this location has great GMs!

The NeighborSteal and EscapeEscape roomIRLThis room has unique puzzles and atmosphere as well as a fun running interaction with an AI character. No traditional lock-and-key solutions. With all the tech used, I was very impressed that it was all working well- nothing broken or even slightly glitchy. Very creative room with a story and vibe unlike any other room I've seen. Overall on the easier side. Plus, we had an excellent GM! Shout out to the wonderful Manny.
Heart Of Bastet [prev. Red Giant]Lara’s Labyrinth - San Diego [prev. Quest Room]Escape roomIRLThis company/location has the themes of their 2 most popular rooms carry over into the check-in area. This is super fun for immersion but does mean that there is no central neutral waiting area where you can hang out without accidentally being exposed to spoilers when other groups finish. So just an FYI that if you arrive early, you might be recommended to wait totally outside the establishment. For this specific room, I was super impressed by the layout, props, and physical environment! There are 2 especially unique moments that are very fun. The puzzles were pretty straightforward and unfortunately were only challenging due to several finicky mechanisms (ex- we solved something correctly but had to slightly adjust pieces repetitively until the solution was registered). Additionally there were a few completely broken elements, but the GM very helpfully addressed it ahead of time. Great use of audio clues as well as GM tips when the group was clearly off track.
The Family CabinQuicksand Escape GamesEscape roomIRLLots to like in this 90s nostalgic room! Adorable throwback theme and good variety of puzzles. Excellent use of props, media, and other pieces of set design. The room is much more linear than it first seems. My main gripe is that there were timer screens in the room that also displayed hints- even if you didn't ask for any! My team was consistently progressing at a decent pace but we still got tips on the screens that unfortunately took away some of the problem solving fun. Our GM also acted very disinterested, which was a bummer.
Rattlesnake BendBust Out Escape Room - PaseoEscape roomIRLLovely room! Cute environment with cohesive theme and props. Great use of environment for both clues and puzzle interactivity. I liked the use of subtle clues across various areas to solve each puzzle. No visible timer in the room fyi. Also a heads up there are (very) fake gunshot sounds at the start of the room. Doable with two people.
Evil Dead 2Hourglass EscapesEscape roomIRLIt was nice to experience a slightly longer room (70min vs the usual 60min)! Flow to the puzzles felt a little disjointed because you are given a suitcase of additional objects at the start to use as you go...but often I felt like we were randomly trying to use every object with every part of the room, rather than correctly figuring out when to use what.
The Lost ExpeditionSteal and EscapeEscape roomIRLAwesome room!!! Split start with lots of collaboration necessary. Very inventive timer mechanics based on fuel utilization. Great puzzles- challenging but well laid out with solid clues in the room. Room definitely designed for 4 people, but doable as a team of 2. Our GM was great as well- thanks Manny for an amazing experience!
