Týnda Lestin [Steampunk Train]Breakout ReykjavíkEscape roomIRLWe’ve done well over 100 escape rooms, mostly in the United States, so we were excited to try one while visiting Iceland. Overall, it was okay — probably around a 6/10 for us. The room was somewhat linear, but some of the clues felt a little jumbled and didn’t always flow in a clear step-by-step way, which threw us off a bit compared to what we’re used to. It wasn’t a bad room by any means, just not one that really stood out for us. Still glad we got to experience an escape room internationally and see how it compared! It’s also great that they’re accommodating for the room to be in English.
Da Vinci's Challenge - CLOSEDQuest Room - KoreatownEscape roomIRLWe were really excited to do this room, however, we were disappointed with how the puzzles were and how “precise” you have to be with certain items. There were also puzzles that you had to assume essentially to solve. There were no clues to that puzzle to give you the “answer.” Also, our game master was not watching our game closely as there were puzzles that we solved where the mechanism clearly did not open as we kept saying, “so nothing happened? Nothing opened” while looking everywhere. Again, excited to try Quest Room again but this really left a sour taste. We also drove about 2 hours to get here.
