Memories of Nikola
Escape Artists Christchurch
Escape room
IRL
Really enjoyed this room. At the beginning it felt like a standard escape artists room (which are pretty good rooms) but they managed to pull off some things that were very cool (no spoilers). Nice mix of lock and key and observational puzzles. Highly recommend.
Into The Dark
Codebreakers
Escape room
IRL
Highly recommend. Not your standard escape room. Wearing a blindfold we had to use our other senses to complete puzzles in the room. The story was exciting and communication was key.

The Lost Hut of Antarctica
Codebreakers
Escape room

Atmosphere was very immersive and room was chilled to simulate an actual Antarctic hut. Fun puzzles, we completed as a team of two and completed without much difficulty but really enjoyed.

Awesome room, loved the story and the friend inside. Completed this as a team of 2 and got out in time.
Murder at Emerald Estate
Dice and Fork
Escape room
IRL
You have been tasked with solving the murder so feels like cludeo mixed with a classic escape room and requires a fair amount of reading. You are meant to provide the answers to certain questions to the ‘detective’ at the end which could have been clearer (as we made up half the story) but it wasn’t a big deal. We enjoyed it overall and gave it a 8/10. The cafe/bar section has a large board game selection which you can play inside. We got chips and a drink each and the service was great.
Mutiny on the High Seas
Xcape
Escape room
IRL
Great room dressing, felt very immersive. Good communication was key. Would recommend all the Xcape rooms.
Atlantis
Escape Mate
Escape room
IRL
Completed with room with 4 people. Due to the size of the room (huge) it was a little overwhelming but we got to a point where we were in groups of 2 working on different sections and completing puzzles which worked well. Room dressing was very impressive. GM did offer one clue early on which we didn’t ask for, but other than that was great. Highly recommended.
The Gangster's Hideout
Emporium Brewing
Escape room
IRL
Completed both rooms at Emporium Brewing. Gangsters Hideout was certainly my preferred as it had more in it which meant we used up almost the whole hour (compared to 30 mins for the Hermits Hut). Good puzzles, and a mix of padlock and others. GM was great, and also an escape room enthusiast and was happy to chat. Also met poppy the brewery cat.
Stripclub Escape R18
Rotofobia
Escape room
IRL
Definitely 18+ but was also very playful. Fun puzzles and lots of laughs along the way. Staff here was great. Very unique theme ;)
Operation Bee Hive
Escape Rooms Wellington
Escape room
IRL
Enjoyed this room, had enough puzzles and things to do for the 3 of us. We did use one clue as one puzzle didn’t click, but GM was able to point us in the right direction rather than just telling us the answer.
