The Legend of the Lost DutchmanUnited Escapes Of America - MesaEscape roomIRLRoom is relatively straightforward with primarily combination locks throughout. Our experience was made slightly more complicated by having an 11 year old and 5 year old, but the 11 year old was able to help and be involved without feeling like we weren’t going to finish in time. In all, I’ve done much prettier rooms with more exciting game play, but I’ve also had way worse experiences. It’s a fine, basic experience.
Henchmen’s HeistThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLNemesis Club ruins other escape rooms because they create a great environment, good story, excellent props, and fun to solve puzzles. This room is a silly, good time.
Diamond QuestParanoia Quest - TempeEscape roomIRLMy favorite of the three at Paranoia Quest. It’s a fun theme. It is very straight forward with clear instructions for solving. But still fun.
Escape Plan: Lights OutParanoia Quest - TempeEscape roomIRLPretty easy room overall. Decent flow and interesting theming for the room.
Recon: The Final HourParanoia Quest - TempeEscape roomIRLA little spooky, a couple of clunky puzzles and we accidentally triggered something early, but overall still fun.
Grim Stacks: Books & BindingPuzzle Effect - PhoenixEscape roomIRLCute room theme. Things work well and flow with logic. Pretty easy overall.
AmnesiaPuzzle Effect - PhoenixEscape roomIRLWe booked this one same day we visited two other rooms and honestly it was the worst of the three we did that day. It’s non-linear, which is fine but one of the puzzles is broken and is difficult to finish due to that and it caused us to sink a lot of time into nothing. This room has a good shell that needs a refresh to make it good again.
Curse on the Emerald SeasPuzzle Effect - PhoenixEscape roomIRLGood flow to the room. Fun theme. Puzzles flow into each other but also have multiple things to work on at the same time.
Jurassic EscapeEscape the Room Phoenix - ScottsdaleEscape roomIRLOverall interesting room, but it felt like it was a little worn down and broken even though everything seemed to work.
Return of the PharaohsParagon Escape GamesEscape roomIRLGood flow to the room. Great set design. Multiple puzzles to complete at the same time that lead you back together at the end. Wear closed toed shoes to avoid sand in your sandals!
Sal's CyberneticsThe Immersive MachineEscape roomIRLThis is such a great escape room! You can feel the soul that the creators put into their room. The puzzles flow well together and you can have people working on multiple things at the same time so everyone is involved. Plus, crumbs is the best toaster out there.
Spellbound - CLOSEDGreat Room Escape - TempeEscape roomIRLMy main issue with the room is how loud the ax throwing is next door. There are a lot of subtle clicks that you miss as people are hollering next to you. I think if the atmosphere was better and more immersive, this would have been a “love” room as the puzzles were fun and challenging and the theme was fun. Definitely could be spookier to fit the theme.
Secrets Of The Pharaoh - CLOSEDAlcatraz Escape Games - Phoenix ArizonaEscape roomIRLWatch out for the sand! It’s pretty slippery in there so be careful. But it was a pretty good pharaoh escape room over all. I’ve done better, I’ve done worse. Only problems are definitely a lack of light for one puzzle and the slippery sand.
Mogollon Monster: Scouting for Arizona's BigfootThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLThis place knows how to build escape rooms down to even the smell. This was a fun story with great flow and fun interactive puzzles. One of the best in Arizona.
Nora's NightmaresPuzzling EscapeEscape roomIRLGood overall room. Escaped too fast for it to get scary so it would be nice if the room got spookier as your progressed through the room instead of how much time passed.
