Robot RebellionThe Bureau Adventure GamesEscape roomIRLIf you want to play this room, go for it. If you’re hesitant, read the full breakdown. This room is not enjoyable unless you are ready to make your own fun. We were able to play half-off, and the cost was still too much for the experience. Edit: let the record show The Bureau did give our team a refund on the night of after we spoke about the many issues we had in playing the game which was appreciated. Their response to my review seems a tad misguided though as I clearly state in my review that we went into the game understanding and being excited for a new experience. All of our faults with the game lay at the hands of broken technology, unaddressed issues and overall disappointing interactions. I love the Buerau, I recommend everyone visit here, as I’ve played all the games and typically enjoy them. My criticisms come because I love them and know they can do better.
Operation Arctic Storm: The Final MeltdownThe Escape Ventures - Orlando Waterford LakesEscape roomIRLMy new favorite game here, and a must-do in Central Florida. The atmosphere is unbeatable and the theme is utilized extremely well. The puzzles aren’t too difficult so families should have a great time. The actor is a welcome addition that adds to the experience nicely. Another home run from the Ventures team, not to be missed
Doctor Lycan - CLOSEDA Harrowing Escape - OrlandoEscape roomIRLThe worst escape room I’ve played. Scenic, puzzles, everything was ridiculous. The GM was nice, and I felt bad for him working there.
Horror CircusGame Over Escape Rooms - BrandonEscape roomIRLVery large footprint, Fun puzzles on display with solid props and detail. The scenic was good, and had some genuinely good scares in place, but nothing too spooky. If you’ve played a Game Over game, then you know what to expect
Helter Skelter - CLOSEDCheck Mate Big BendEscape roomIRLA super fun experience! Some amazing interactions with the game host, enjoyable ‘scary’ elements, and puzzles flowed nicely. Probably not for younger kids, but certainly not the scariest time.
Vampires Lair - CLOSEDCheck Mate Big BendEscape roomIRLSome really solid puzzles and nicely designed set pieces. The owners are lovely people, gave good clues and forthcoming with assistance when things went awry
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - OrlandoEscape roomIRLAlways in my top list of games- a standard Escape Game room, but it’s so much fun that it really elevates the experience. The scenic really makes the room, and the puzzles, while not the most inventive, fit into the narrative well or use pieces of the theme to where I don’t mind it.
Operation Treehouse: Capture the FlagThe Escape Ventures - Winter Garden [prev. Escape Goat]Escape roomIRLThis is my personal favorite game at Escape Goat, which is saying a lot. The puzzles were very fun and all flowed well into each other. The details and set design were also amazing, really selling the idea of being in a kids’ hideout. You will never have a bad time at this place
DreamEscape Artists - OrlandoEscape roomIRLEscape Artists is a really solid company, and this is one of if not my favorite room. Lots of varied things to do, set design was not the highest caliber but was very fun, and there is a specific physical element that my team loved to the point of replaying several times.
Murder In LondonMystique Escape RoomEscape roomIRLMystique is a very solid company, and this is their best room. Amazing scenic, fun puzzles and an enjoyable story. The staff is nice and I’ve never heard of someone not appreciating it as a recommendation
The BasementIntense Escape - BradentonEscape roomIRLNot the scariest game I’ve ever played, but the perceived threat definitely does make your heart race a bit. The late game interactions with your GM are also something to laud- not a top tier game but overall an enjoyable experience if you’re into it’s type of gameplay
Possession At Haddon HeightsThe Bureau Adventure GamesEscape roomIRLMy favorite game from the Bureau so far. I enjoy their style of games and how they differ from other locations. The atmosphere was fun and sold “spooky school” well. The Bureau is always lockless and prides itself on tech, and it shows here with some cool scares and interesting mechanic to enhance the environment- when it works, of course, which it doesn’t always. My friend never had a specific thing work, but still enjoyed the game.
Lost City Of AtlantisGame Over Escape Rooms - East TampaEscape roomIRLMy group’s favorite game at this location. Fun theme, good scenic with some neat effects. You know what you’re getting with Game Over, nothing more, nothing less
Trouble In Tinseltown - CLOSEDEvasive Escape Rooms - SarasotaEscape roomIRLI’m a sucker for detective noir, so this room tickles me more than others. Fun puzzles, good scenic, solid experience
Deekins Rift - CLOSEDMind Trapped Escape RoomEscape roomIRLDecent game, scenic was fine but not mind blowing, and story was present but not memorable. Definitely play if you’re here, but maybe not worth a solo trip specifically for it
Dracula's CastleEscape Room ExtremeEscape roomIRLSomewhat below average room. Fine for someone’s first time, but nothing to write home about. The puzzles were fairly standard, with one physical aspect I didn’t hate, but wasn’t new. The scenic improved as the game progressed, but closer inspection revealed a lack of polish that really hindered perception over all. Lacks polish is a decent sentiment about it as a whole
Chamber of Illusions - CLOSEDBreakout Escape Rooms - OrlandoEscape roomIRLMy favorite game here and a breath of fresh air compared to some of their other rooms. There is a lot going on here, certainly quantity over quality, but there are some puzzles and elements that really shine through. Overall, very fun, certainly most fun I’ve had here before, and one I recommend
Fright Before Your EyesThe Escape EffectEscape roomIRLOne of my least favorite games coming from a ‘bigger’ company. The idea that this is one of the most tech heavy rooms in the area is incredibly misleading, if not a lie all together. This game was put into the shell of an old (better) experience and it shows- with several puzzles from the old game still being there almost entirely. Genuinely unfun at best, and at its worst, kind of upsetting
The Final KingdomLakeland Escape RoomEscape roomIRLA fun game. Nothing we hadn’t seen before, but some physical tasks mixed with standard puzzles for decent gameplay. A kind of clunky mid-to-late game interaction for “story” reasons, but it didn’t bring the room down. Probably one of the better games at this location
Sherlock Holmes - CLOSEDJewel EscapeEscape roomIRLOne of the better Sherlock rooms I’ve played. Puzzles made sense a flowed more than in their Egypt game, standard kind of experience though. Scenic was less than, but not *bad*
