Election DayAppleseed AvenueEscape roomOther Really unique room - I've never seen this theme in any other room I've been to. It ran seamlessly, and the props were in perfect condition. I loved interacting with the Muppet actors. The humor and jokes throughout the story line were also very funny and intelligent. I would highly recommend this room to anyone in the LA area.
Bros for Life: Fraternity HeistThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLExtremely well done room. Super creative puzzles, excellent game flow, props in good shape, and the gamemaster (Cierra) was fun. This room had several mechanisms I have not seen before, so I am very impressed and sad I am only in town for one day. Otherwise, I would try out Escape Ventures other rooms.
Disappearance: Last LocationWill To Escape - OrlandoEscape roomIRLSolid room with good flow. Great theme decor. The room was a little on the easier side, so going with 2 people was great, but a bigger group might create some lulls depending on the players' ability levels. There were a couple fun puzzle mechanisms I have not seen before, so that is always a plus. I would definitely recommend this room to a solid beginner-to-intermediate level player.
Room 303 - Chapter 1303 Escape - Denver Escape RoomEscape roomIRLReally good theming throughout - even starting from the lobby. The room had some really innovative, clever puzzles. Game flow was super smooth. Props and room were in great condition. It's not too scary (no jump scares). I would highly recommend this room to anyone in the area - definitely one of the more creative ones I have been to.
Christmas MysteryEscape HiloEscape roomIRLStay away from this room if you are experienced. If this is your first or second escape room, go and support a local business - you'll probably enjoy it. The puzzles were nothing special. The theme was disappointing, and when I inquired about "why Christmas," I was told it was to attract as many different types of people as possible since this location can only make one room. This escape room is yet another example of something on Big Island that has no competitors, besides the Kona one 2 hours away, so why bother putting effort into it? The biggest disappointment were the intentional red herrings. Keys and locks strewn about that were dead ends, placed to waste the puzzler's time. The creator said he loves them. I only hope that he gains more experience as time progresses and learns that red herrings are lazy.
