Enchambered just makes super fun, very well designed, atmospheric rooms with wonderfully inventive and complex puzzles! I can’t wait to do their fourth room!
Memories of NikolaEscape Artists ChristchurchEscape roomIRLThis is a very franchise/corporate style place. The room was pretty much bare of anything you didn’t need to solve the next puzzle, it was fairly linear, and the puzzles were (for the most part) nothing you haven’t seen before if you have done a few escape rooms. There is one very clever part that did save the room from being entirely below average though! Their rooms are probably very fun for kids or groups of new players but like most corporate style places, they aren’t really for escape room aficionados. I will probably not be trying their other rooms unless there are no other options.

Room 238Escape Artists DunedinEscape roomIRLLike the other rooms at Escape Artists Dunedin, this is good for a more franchise/corporate style escape room place. There was some great atmosphere in this one and a couple cooler puzzles!
Haunted TrainNeo Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThere were a couple cool ideas but there were only a few puzzles in the room and given to you one at a time. They were not at all intuitive and we needed hints to tell us exactly what to do for three of them. The person running the room was great and the atmosphere was fantastic and super creepy at times. The rooms were all fairly bare but that is mostly because of how few actual puzzles there were. It is disappointing because their other room, Capitol Treasure, is really great and a ton of fun with great and unique puzzles! I would recommend doing that one instead.

They are a little bare in terms of sets and a little light on puzzles but they are still a good time! These can be good for new time players as the puzzles are more linear and the rooms are more straight forward, even if the majority are easy or similar to puzzles escape room aficionados have seen before.
The Time MachinePanIQ Room - SacramentoEscape roomIRLThe room had some cool sets but was fairly bare as a whole. The puzzles were ok but PanIQ Escape Rooms kind of relies on doing the same thing multiple times to complete one puzzle which makes them feel like time padding. The puzzles are almost all just one or two small tweaks away from being inventive and really fun but they stumble over a few design decisions.
