The Inventor's WorkshopEscape Room KenyaEscape roomIRLFirst escape room in Kenya. This room was our favorite of the two that we played. The staff was incredibly friendly and while the room was not our favorite, for escape room enthusiasts the people would be a reason to visit. They approached us after the game looking for suggestions and clearly had passion for improving their rooms. All of the rooms showed passion and promise, but would be hard to describe with too positively in the state that we played
The Poachers' LairEscape Room KenyaEscape roomIRLFirst escape room in Kenya. Pretty barebones. The staff was incredibly friendly and while the room was not our favorite, for escape room enthusiasts, the people would be a reason to visit. They approached us after the game looking for suggestions and clearly had passion for improving their rooms. All of the rooms showed passion and promise
BiohazardDeadline Escape Rooms 2Escape roomIRLVery well executed, environment and set design is top notch as always. Clear that heart was put into the room and puzzles. Great flow. Would recommend for new escape room fans or veterans alike. we played on "Challenge Mode"
Activate [Interactive Arcade]Activate - Roseville (Sacramento)Escape roomOther Really fun and very active experience. would recommend for all (active) ages
The Magical MiscalculationCurtain Calls XscapeEscape roomIRLVery well signaled especially for a magic themed room. Effects and environment felt magical and immersive. Family friendly, and definitely a recommendation
The ChosenCurtain Calls XscapeEscape roomIRLGood horror themed room with good theming. No real jump scares to speak of but fun puzzles and overall a great experience
Rock N Roll Hall of FameCurtain Calls XscapeEscape roomIRLFun room with fun theme. You are putting back together exhibits for a museum display which makes for a novel premise. Everything can be solved in almost any order so it did feel like a lot all at once
Bomb Squad [prev. Undercover Alley]Breakout Games - RichmondEscape roomIRLGood set design and good use of space. Lots of color and fun overall
The Kidnapping - CLOSEDBreakout Games - RichmondEscape roomIRLPretty standard kidnapping/serial killer game. Handcuffs at the start always is fun, but we were out of them in less than a minute lol. Fun but pretty easy overall for us
The Chesapeake Bay ButcherColonial Escape RoomEscape roomIRLInteresting horror based room with a "live actor"/game master active in the room for scares. Had an interesting way of signaling and hints using lights and video tapes which made for a very interactive and scary experience. Definitely a fun experience overall
Cyber Punk’dColonial Escape RoomEscape roomIRLFull of nostalgia for the 90's and 2000's. As millennials we had a very fun time, but mileage may vary. Puzzles were well signaled. Fun overall
Blackbeard's CabinColonial Escape RoomEscape roomIRLSingle room with non linear puzzles. Decent theming but little story to speak of. Game was decent but nothing to write home about. Had no combination locks but we found this to be to it's detriment as it was difficult to know if you had the correct solution to a particular puzzle.
The CollectionEnchambered Live Escape Room AdventureEscape roomIRLVery high tech, non linear room. Puzzles have excellent signaling and can be solved non-linearly. Excellent room for larger groups. Staff was great. Would recommend
Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle AdventureEscapology - SacramentoEscape roomOther Really cute room with fun references to the Scooby Doo show and with voice acting from the real voice actors. Would be a great room for kids but wasn't too easy that adults couldn't have fun. Definitely would recommend overall.
Mansion MurderEscapology - SacramentoEscape roomIRLThe room was ok but really felt lacking for our group. The puzzle signaling and flow were both off. We had a hard time finding a groove, as the puzzles were not very intuitive. I would skip this one and play some of the other rooms offered.
Capitol TreasureNeo Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLFun room with good flow. Fun set theming and vibe. Puzzles were logical and well executed. Nothing too flashy here, but a really fun room overall.
Haunted TrainNeo Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLReally fun, spooky themed train. Lots of light effects and some fun puzzles tied to them. Haunted theme was more creepy than scary. Overall a very fun experience.
The CryptElevation Escape GamesEscape roomIRLPretty basic room and honestly pretty sparse puzzles. Everything worked, but nothing super splashy or unique. Ending of the room was also a little anticlimactic/flat as we didn't realize that we had escaped until the game master opened the door.
Midnight at Dark HallowEscape 36Escape roomIRLGood but fairly tough room that had fun theming and puzzles throughout. We barely escaped. Good use of space/good density of puzzles throughout. If you can only play one from Escape 36, I would definitely recommend Midnight at Dark Hallow. Fairly mechanical, but overall a good experience.
BabysitterReed Between The LinesEscape roomIRLCute little room with fun childhood theming. Puzzles were mechanical mostly but added to the ambience/vibe well. Not overly difficult and would be a great room for kids and adults for a first time. Although our group of 6 adults felt like a few to many in our opinion. Would recommend
