SnatchedContained Liverpool Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI have done over 80 escape rooms and Snatched at Contained Liverpool might just be the most intense, terrifying, and immersive experience I have ever had. It has been over five hours since we escaped and I am still reeling. My heart rate has not settled. My brain is still trying to figure out what just happened. The production value is phenomenal. The atmosphere is pitch perfect. But the real star of the show is the game master. I do not say this lightly — they were unreal. So committed, so in character, so perfectly timed that we genuinely lost all grip on what was real and what was part of the game. They did not just enhance the experience. They were the experience. Their performance was Oscar worthy. I have never seen anything like it. The fear is relentless. The immersion is next level. I screamed more in that hour than I probably have in the last five years combined. It pushed us to our limits and we loved every horrifying second. If you are into horror, adrenaline, or just want to feel like you have been thrown into a real life nightmare, Snatched is non negotiable. Book it. Brace yourself. And good luck. You are going to need it.
MonumentsCave EscapeEscape roomIRLThis was just FANTASTIC. Phoebe especially made this memorable and fun for us. As a party of two, it can be tricky if you’re not well versed in escape rooms. Love the clue system and how the game is non-linear. Very, very well done!
ReactorvateEscapologic - NottinghamEscape roomIRLReally well done game, very immersive with no padlocks. The games story is really good and the rooms are massive too. Eat carrots!
Escape From OzEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLRight from the start, Chris, our Games Master, made the experience exceptional. He was incredibly friendly and chatty, instantly putting us at ease and getting us excited for the adventure ahead. His enthusiasm and knowledge about escape rooms were great, and he had a knack for making everyone feel welcome. The escape room itself was something out of a dream. The detail in the design was astonishing—you could tell that significant resources were invested in creating this immersive experience. Every prop, every puzzle, and every inch of the room was carefully crafted to transport you into the magical world of Oz. It felt like stepping into the movie, with surprises and thematic elements that kept us captivated from start to finish. The puzzles were challenging but fair, with a great mix of logic, observation, and teamwork required to solve them. We appreciated that the room was designed to be enjoyed by both experienced escapers and those new to escape rooms. The balance between solving puzzles and immersing yourself in the storyline was perfect, creating an experience that was as much about the journey as it was about escaping. Chris was attentive and supportive throughout the experience, offering just the right amount of guidance when needed without giving too much away. It was clear that he genuinely enjoys his role, and his positive energy added to the overall fun of the escape room. We highly recommend this Wizard of Oz-themed escape room at Enigma. It's one of the best we've ever done, and we're already planning our next visit to Enigma. If you're looking for an escape room that will leave you talking about it for days, this is the one!
ColditzEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLGreat room, very flowy, puzzles make perfect sense. Love the fact that there are so many different endings based on what you do in the game. The games master we had here really loved his job too and you can really tell. The rooms are very well decorated and are typical enigma rooms - well thought out and overall well done.
OutbreakEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLGood room, worn in places, and can tell it is well used. The final puzzles didn’t really work particularly well though so kind of ruined the flow of things.
MachinaBreak Free Escape Room - Leeds [prev. Escape Reality]Escape roomIRLThe room itself felt old, with broken and worn-out puzzles that made it difficult to get into the flow. Instead of a smooth, cohesive experience, the puzzles were disjointed and clunky, requiring constant intervention from the Games Master. The clue system was outdated and unhelpful, lacking specific guidance, which caused confusion and delays. Every time we needed help, the Games Master had to step in personally, further disrupting any sense of immersion. To make matters worse, the room was anything but immersive. The props and set design were uninspired, and we could hear screaming kids from the laser quest activity next door. This constant noise was incredibly distracting and completely ruined the atmosphere, making it hard to focus on the puzzles or enjoy the experience at all. Given these issues, the overall experience was far from enjoyable. We were left feeling frustrated and disappointed, with no desire to return or recommend Escape Reality to others. If you're seeking a quality escape room experience, we'd suggest looking elsewhere. We hope that Escape Reality addresses these issues and improves the quality of their rooms, but until then, we can't recommend this venue. Save your time and money, and explore one of the many other escape rooms in the area that offer a much better experience.
ButcherEscapologic - NottinghamEscape roomIRLGood room, puzzles a little janky but do the job. Room is immersive enough, but the live actor is what makes it!
UnderworldThe Great Escape Game - LeedsEscape roomIRLDidn’t enjoy this room, it’s very disjointed and the puzzles are quite clunky. Some bits are worn and some bits imply didn’t make sense to us. If you’ve got bad knees, don’t even look at this room!😂
SeanceEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLA must play room! Very flowy, great story line and game masters too.
Arabian NightsEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLVery immersive room! So well decorated and the clue system is really great. Very flowy design and well thought out.
The Chapel Of UnrestLocked In Games LeedsEscape roomIRLGood room, live actor makes it creepy! Puzzles are good and the room is very immersive. Some bits are a bit worn and you can tell the room is aging a bit but aside from that, there’s a good variation of puzzles and the story flows well.
Escape from WonderlandEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLGood room, immersive and fairly big rooms too. The room flows well and is really well decorated too.
MutinyThe Lockup Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLEhhh, good room. Lots of padlocks and flowing story but a small room. I love the way this room starts but it lacks in depth. Good puzzles just wish there was more to explore
MafiaEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLVery good room, lots of maths and thinky stuff. Really big rooms, lots of padlocks though so, mostly padlocks actually - hence not a love
Murder MotelEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLGood room, story flows and is well decorated. Room is worn and aging in parts but it doesn’t take away from the experience much.
ImpactEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLWent into this with high expectations but left feeling quite left down. This room could have been amazing as there are no padlocks but it just all seemed very janky and rushed.
HostageEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLReally enjoyed this room, rooms are big and story flows really well. We got out in record speed time too so always a bonus!
Our Finest HourEscape Hunt UK - LeedsEscape roomIRLReally enjoyed this room, well themed and good puzzles that flowed well with the story. The room is quite worn in parts which takes away a little. Otherwise a really great room with varying puzzles
The Fourth SamuraiEscape Hunt UK - LeedsEscape roomIRLGood flowy room that gets you thinking. One of the puzzles didn’t really work very well that prevented us moving on for a really long time as we were doing it right but it was activating
