Really great room! Great ambiance and fun puzzles! The room flowed really well and the puzzles were difficult, but made sense. The room had a more home made feel, but it was very well done. Mostly lock type puzzles, but some others mixed in there too. Some jump scares, but mostly just spooky via the ambiance. The only thing I would say needs improvement is some of the clues were rubbed off due to use (sharpie things), so they might need to be updated a little. Worth a trip and we will be back if are back in the area.

We have done every one of Will to Escapes Rooms at this location. We loved the Mystical Manor and it’s been the room we compare everything to in terms of quality and enjoyment. I think I might like Blood in the Water even better!! The quality and attention to detail were phenomenal! There were surprises and fun parts of puzzles you don’t expect at all! The puzzles were all well done and made sense, plus the set design was great. We’ve done a lot of rooms and this one wasn’t the most challenging, but it definitely was the highest quality and extremely fun. If you’ve never done an escape room before, I suggest mystical manor first as Blood is definitely harder. Highly recommend!

Such a fun room! Lots of different puzzles of different types. The theme was carried out through the whole room and was really well done. We did Bubbas room first, but got out pretty quickly so decided to do another. This one was MUCH more difficult. We only had two people, and escaped, but it would have been easier with 3 or 4. I wouldn’t suggest this one as your very first room, but definitely great for those who love escape rooms or have done one before! Roxie was our GM and again- she’s fabulous! I really like what they do for the “set up” and story at the beginning - adds a little twist and fun part to the experience.

Great room! Loved all the details and the puzzles all made sense. This was a very straightforward room and is definitely ideal for beginners. My daughter (14) and I did it with just two of us, and we got out with 20 minutes to spare and no big hints- just some nudges. For the entire time we were playing, we were both actively doing something or working together, so that’s a HUGE positive! Roxie was our GM and she is just fabulous!

The story line was good and the atmosphere was nice. However, some of the puzzles were hard to control physically. They took a ton of time even when you had the puzzle solved, handling them was difficult. The last (or second to last) puzzle broke as our game was ending. It might have been fixed, but when we were there, it wasn’t working correctly. I did like how big of space you had to play in and the fact you could do multiple puzzles at once.

We have done all the rooms at Legends or Xscape and this was my favorite! Just the right amount of spooky/scary. While there wasn’t a live actor per se, there are people who do things, so you might want to ask them not to if you don’t want it as spooky. Puzzles were great and some were really spooky which matched the theme well. The gamemaster/ employees were great and talked all things escape room with us. This was our first one here and probably my favorite, but honestly liked them all.

So we did the Train escape room with Escape Experience the day prior to this one. We were so excited because of the award it was nominated for. The room itself was interesting and the atmosphere was awesome. There were a bunch of details and a ton of puzzles to complete. However, some of the puzzles didn’t work correctly or work well. One puzzle opened a door. If you’ve done escape rooms, the room is if you can’t move it with two fingers, it shouldn’t be moved. Well, we “opened” the door, but it didn’t physically open. So after a while, we assumed we hadn’t done it right and spent more time trying to find something else. Finally, we asked our gamemaster and they said to open the door. We said we tried, but it wouldn’t open. Essentially my husband had to throw his shoulder against it to get it open. So we spent 5 minutes with the clue correct, but not enough force on the door. Last, there was one more puzzle that just took FOREVER to operate. We knew what we had to do, but it just took so long to make it function correctly. I don’t want to spoil it, but we took about 10 minutes on operating this one puzzle. If they fixed these two things (or maybe switched out the one puzzle) then I think it would be worth the stop. But when things do work, it’s really hard to enjoy the game.

SUCH a great room! We had 8 adults and we were ALL busy the whole time. It was SO spooky at just the right times. The clues were great, puzzles were just challenging enough and there was a good amount of variety. Honestly, probably one of my favorite (maybe my favorite) rooms of all time. We usually do rooms as a family, but did this one with friends. I feel terrible because my kids would have LOVED it, so we are definitely planning a trip back to do this room or another there. I would say, this probably wouldn’t be the best room for a beginner and definitely not for little kids, but if you’ve done a few (or are adventurous as a first timer) this one is a MUST!!

Really loved this room! It was your more typical codes and locks room which we love vs. all the high tech stuff. The clues flowed well, the story made sense, and we had a blast. Our gamemaster Kevin was great! He took the time to talk to us about all things escape room and how they are trying to integrate different components into their future rooms. He was also great about knowing when to give us a nudge (esp when we were overthinking things lol!) I will say that this would be better for someone who has at least one room already done. We’ve done some rooms that had a lot of “gimmicks” that are meant to impress. While this one had a bunch of neat aspects, I feel like the puzzles, storyline, etc were the focus. Having done a bunch of rooms, this is what we prefer to have! If we come back to the Gainesville area anytime soon, we are definitely coming back!

Did this room with my teen daughter (experienced with escape rooms) and her two friends (little and no experience). Games was fun and had some unique parts which I really enjoyed. The ending was very different from most I’ve done and it was fun. This is a great beginner room. Our family does a lot of rooms and if the 4 of us had done it, it would have been very easy (but still fun!). If you haven’t done a room before, this is a PERFECT one to start one (or maybe not…because we are addicted now!) gamemasters are awesome, rooms are well done! 10/10

This is the first room we did at The Escape Game which we really enjoyed. The room was big, the puzzles made sense and worked, and it was overall an enjoyable experience. The only thing I didn’t like was that the games aren’t private. So, unless you booked all 8 spots, you could have other people in there with you. So in this game it was me, my mom, and my two kids (9 and 13). We got paired with a group of 4 adults. Luckily, those adults were fun AND my kids had a ton of escape room experience so we worked together well. However, this is really dependent on who you get paired with. We went last summer, so maybe this policy has changed, but I definitely prefer private rooms.

Good, solid room. Had some unique aspects and good puzzles. Would be a great room for those just getting into escape rooms. However, we’ve done everyone room at legends, and this is probably my least favorite if I HAD to choose one. However, it’s still fun and a great room, so if you are local, all the rooms here are worth doing. If you won’t be able to come back, I would definitely do the abandoned motel instead, but I loved the spooky part of that one! I would say a 9/10.

Very fun game! I completed this with my two kids (9 and 13) and we escaped with minimal help. I think the only hint we got was because of a clue that we were slightly off on the number because I wasn’t tall enough to see it (I’m under 5 ft, so not a typical adult height). We’ve done quite a few escape rooms, and I’m pretty sure my kids could have done with one independently. It’s a fabulous beginner room or one for parents with younger kids. The decor was great! The place itself is really neat and we hung out playing some games for a while.

I really wanted to like this room. The first room we went through was okay. However, later on, the puzzles took too long to complete and didn’t provide ample space. Without giving things away- one “puzzle” had to be used multiple times to complete others. However, this “puzzle” took time to cycle through. Another clue was in a VERY confined space. We had two adults and two teens. We didn’t fit. So three of us had to essentially stand there while the other one tried the puzzle. Overall, it wasn’t great and we won’t likely be back.
