Armoire à Vendre [Wardrobe for Sale]Escaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLBest escape room ever! I loved the story, the interactions, the puppets, and the scenery was jaw-dropping gorgeous.
D.J. DeathThe Gate EscapeEscape roomIRLFun room, a bit different than a typical escape room, loved having the GM in the room
Escape from The Witch's House in the WoodsTokyo Mystery CircusEscape roomIRLIt was fun, nice way to spend a hot afternoon in air conditioning. The nine room setup was clever, letting the company get multiple teams through at once and thereby increasing revenue. Some of the puzzles were nice and the wand mechanic made for an interesting story element. I wish the hinting mechanic guaranteed escape while still letting us figure out most things ourselves though (we had to buy a retry for the final room). This might require a dedicated GM per team. Some of the rooms also felt a bit worn out and gross too (especially the snakes).
La Cathédrale Oubliée [The Forgotten Cathedral]Escaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLGreat game with over the top scenery and a really fun intro.
Outlaw's HideoutEscape Again RoomsEscape roomIRLBeautiful set, puzzles on the easier side but still has to think, great for small and inexperienced teams, a few fun surprises.
Projet R.E.S.E.T. [Project R.E.S.E.T.]Immersia Escape GamesEscape roomIRLGreat theme, some cool puzzles, the reset had a cool implementation, the “message” about not repeating mistakes was a bit preachy. But mostly I was frustrated by the thing we got stuck on which was not a puzzle but an electronic interface with a poor user interface design.
RobotopiaOmescape - SunnyvaleEscape roomIRLReally fun room with clever but solvable puzzles. The first half had good parallelism that kept all four of us busy. The second half had puzzles requiring multiple people at once which was fun but gave us less opportunity to figure things out individually. GM was awesome, and the live interaction was super fun!
The Assistant 2.0The Gate EscapeEscape roomIRLMy favorite room at gate escape. I liked having to reuse stuff, I felt like there was always something to work on even if one thing was stuck, the collaboration with one other person flowed very well, nice that the room didn’t rely on super high tech stuff to work
The DomeMama BazookaEscape roomIRLFantastic experience. The tech was so cool, the flow was great, well paced. The room wasn’t super puzzle-y, like it was always clear what we were supposed to be doing, but the challenges were still fun and required cooperation and communication and team work. We went with 6 (the max) and I think that was too much.
