Clue
Breakout Games - Virginia Beach
Escape room
IRL
We enjoyed the room. There were 3 of us, but 2 of us would have been enough. A couple of puzzles were nice to have another person helping but not required. Definitely had some CLUE feel. For us older people, know that even the board game has a couple of different names for things these days, but won't take you long to figure out.

There were only two of us, and we did not quite escape, but were on the last puzzle. We feel the room can be done by as few as two people. We did not rush ourselves. If we had,we could have gotten out. The puzzles were interesting. Not overly simple and not too hard. The decor and props were not fancy but served the story well.

There was a nice story, nice sets, and good puzzles. Some things that lessened the enjoyment of the experience: 1) The background music was too loud, such that we had to raise our voices to speak to each other. 2) the constant changing of colored ambient lights (not strobing, but every few seconds) made it very difficult to see some things (such as things that needed to be read). Never did manage to see some of the faint color differences that were important. 3) Our game master appeared to be running the whole place as one person. Running three rooms, doing checkins, room resets, etc. Thus, into our game, we got the message "I have to leave for a few minutes to reset another room. Do you want your first hint now?" We were making progress and not ready for a hint yet, so declined (not sure a hint would have even been useful at that point). Then, when we WERE ready for a hint, we had to wait a few minutes until he returned. Then, he had to ask us a series of questions to "catch up" and find out what we had already done. For a "3 hints" establishment with time penalty for additional hints, this was highly unexpected, as part of the experience of these rooms is knowing when to ask for a hint to make the experience enjoyable and solvable.

This was a great room. We indeed felt like we could be in a magician's dressing room. It was just two of us and we did fine. We liked the story, the props and the puzzles. There were a few things that were different than we have seen in other escape rooms.
Nick of Time
Breakout KC - River Market
Escape room

A cute Christmas theme without being over the top. Two people can do it. More than 3 people might be falling over each other.
Science Lab Spy
Countdown Escape Room
Escape room

Very linear room. Interesting but not hard puzzles. Completed with a team of 3. Recommend if you like a focus on puzzles rather than the locks themselves.
Bank Heist 2
Room Escape Williamsburg
Escape room
IRL
This was a decent room and we enjoyed it. A couple of the things took more strength to open than typically allowed in an escape room. A couple of different "neat" puzzles. We were only two people and almost finished. Not the best of soundproofing. Noise from the next room distracted us a couple of times.
Escape the Titanic
Countdown Escape Room
Escape room

Did this room a while back before using Morty, so details are foggy. We enjoyed doing this room: my family of two adults and two teenagers.
Museum Heist
Breakout Games - Richmond
Escape room
IRL
Did this a while ago before using Morty, do details are fuzzy. Did this with family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We enjoyed the experience. Had some different features to others we have done. We did not escape but we would have if we had not been using one of the locks wrong. The staff was great.
The Great Estate Burglary
Escape Room Virginia Peninsula
Escape room
IRL
Two of us. We enjoyed this room. Puzzles were fun, but not difficult. Everything was doable by a 5 foot tall person.
