A power surge has rolled through Area 1's Research Facility, putting us into lockdown. To make matters worse, our lead researcher, Dr. Verdant, has vanished. What we need is group of expendable contractors to come in and sort out our mess. Area 1 takes no responsibility for any extra-dimensional disturbances that may occur.

The immersion from the parking lot is amazing! The whole atmosphere from beginning to end makes you feel like you left Brisbane and entered a whole different world. The puzzles were fun and made sense. Super high tech and fun creative twists on not to challenging puzzles. I wouldn’t stay it scary but is spooky. Play it!

Absolutely brilliant experience at Project Immersive – Area 1: The Portal! From the moment you walk in, you’re completely transported into another world. The immersion is next level and doesn’t let up for a second. Everything, from the environment and atmosphere to the puzzles and interactions, feels thoughtfully designed to make you feel like you’re part of the story rather than just playing an escape room. It’s rare to find an experience where the immersion is so consistent from beginning to end. The attention to detail is fantastic, the challenges keep you engaged, and the whole experience is incredibly well executed. If you enjoy escape rooms, this is an absolute must-do. Easily one of the most immersive experiences I’ve had.

Maybe one of the best escape rooms for atmosphere. The location was in the middle of nowhere, but this kind of made it even better as it felt more real. It was very immersive and the intro acting was among the best, and set the tone perfectly. The puzzles were quite creative, I was really impressed by them. This one really prioritises immersion over difficulty, but I appreciated it because it did it so well. Also, it felt notably bigger than other escape rooms.

This was an excellent room in a fun location, with some very cool theming. We especially enjoyed the practical effects used for some of the puzzles, which were like nothing we've seen elsewhere. Absolutely deserving of its high praise, and while it tends towards spooky, there are certainly scarier rooms out there (as people who don't enjoy horror rooms, this was a very enjoyable experience).

Starts from the car park. Nice setup, my first immersive experience and I am fascinated. Good value for money. These businesses should be supported by all means. We could feel the host trying to support us to complete, few others places where we went it was all business. Thanks to other reviews that helped me find this. Whole family had a good time.

Fantastic experience, right from pulling into the carpark! The GMs were awesome and ran the games well. It was definitely different to any other room we have done before. We weren't stumped for too long on many puzzles but we had a great time doing them!

Our second experience of the day working at Area 1 and yet another banger. Much like the previous room just an immaculate use of the space and the props. The tech was so well integrated that even when something went wrong, it was fixed in a manner that felt so in-world we didn’t even question it. The effects and moments in this room probably stand out more to me than in their other experience Nuclear Enrichment. The use of lighting and sound was so incredibly done we were truly awestruck. The puzzles were collaborative and entertaining, we couldn’t wait for the next one. We My friends and I still debate which of these rooms were better but the general consensus remains the same. They’re MUST plays.

I ASSURE YOU, PORTAL TRAVEL IS PERFECTLY SAFE (and legal). Out of the spooky lab of Nuclear Enrichment and into the… yup, ok, spooky lab of The Portal. See I gotta tell ya, being a contractor for a cult-adjacent underground science organisation will have you working like a dog. I need some time off. Well well well, who would’ve guessed? It’s ANOTHER fantastic room from Projective Immersive that somehow exceeds that of its nuclear counterpart. I’m talking even more sophisticated tech, a narrative with even higher stakes and enough pneumatic tubes to make carrier pigeons obsolete. Fair to say I absolutely adored this room! It’s another modest space that is used so cleverly and decked out with the most insane technical gear you’ve ever seen. Even for someone like me who’s a bit scientifically-challenged, I was out there confidently using tools I couldn’t pronounce while shouting instructions that bordered on gibberish. I felt immersed, I felt ridiculous, it was an absolute riot. These are head and shoulders the most well thought-out, high production escape rooms you’ll find in Queensland and I won’t be accepting objections. If you’re an enthusiast, these guys are a must, if you’re a newbie, it’s a perfect insight into just how exciting escape rooms can be. Sorry for almost opening a world-ending dimensional rift, it was my first day ☹️ 9.5/10 🔏🧩
