Date: Early 1962 Location: North Dakota, USA Memo: Current tensions with Cuba remain at an all-time high with no sign of resolution. It has been a month since the beginning of the Cold War, and many believe this could turn into a full-scale nuclear attack. … Mission: You and your team have entered a top-secret missile silo deep within the desolate terrain of North Dakota. The launch-systems for the nuclear missile housed within have been hacked by an offshore entity, and they have scheduled a launch in T-75 minutes. If they succeed, they will trigger a nuclear war, causing catastrophic damage on a scale the world has never seen! The facility is empty, leaving you as only ones who can initiate the abort sequence and stop the missile from launching, saving yourself, our nation, and ultimately, the planet.

What a great game, and definitely the highlight experience in the Fort Wayne area. It reminds me of a certain game at a legendary company in Louisiana, but this one is done better. Sure, it didn’t have as many cool effects, but the puzzles were done correctly, and the endgame “wow” moment was pretty cool. We played as a group of 2, so at some points we had to split up and communicate through walkie talkies to solve certain puzzles, but it felt normal within the scope of the experience (the talkies weren’t just handed to us, we had to find them as we did the room). There was a good mix of locks and tech, more techy though. Unless you want to play many rooms in the region like we did, I wouldn’t travel to play this room, but it’s hands down the best room in the area out of the ones we played in my opinion.

Rating: 4/5 - Large set, my favorite game here, but make sure you and your team communicates well Pros: ➕I'm a fan of longer games and I feel like the game length is justified due to the large set and multi-step puzzles. ➕The puzzles were decent and mostly fit the theme, some were a bit task-like which felt like things you would do in that situation. ➕I love communication/teamwork puzzles and this was one of the better implementations I've seen. Both sides had things to do so it wasn't just a one-way communication. ➕Lots of tech (screens, buttons, sensors, lights, audio, etc.) with some padlocks mixed in. ➕Multiple rooms and areas to explore with movement back and forth. Some areas even utilized vertical space well. ➕Satisfying ending ➕Strong theming and set, had the right vibes for a bunker. ➕Mostly well lit, flashlights weren't really needed. ➕Everything was working, no tech issues. ➕GM was helpful when needed. Cons: ➖There is a hint limit but they give you 5 hints instead of 4 like their other shorter rooms. But the standard now at most companies is unlimited hints. One person will need to crawl. I would recommend a team of 3-4, but you can play as a team of 2 like us. We ended up escaping with 10+ min left but we were fairly efficient and didn't get stuck much. My ranking of the rooms I've played here starting with my favorite, assuming you have a good GM, no technical issues, and a properly reset room (which can be a problem here): 1. Missile Crisis 2. Experimental Hughes (a bad GM ruined our experience, but I'm ignoring that for the ranking) 3. Vault Heist 4. The Forgotten (ignoring the tech issues we had) 5. Capone's 21 Club

Seemed like it could’ve been a good room in theory. Set design was top notch and theming was great. Sadly most of our puzzles didn’t work correctly and the room wasn’t even reset properly before we started (TVs showing our time/clues were off, last major thing we were supposed to open was open the whole time). There was one puzzle we wasted a decent amount of time on that we were told AFTER we finished was broken earlier in the week so we didnt need to do it. Walkie talkies didn’t work correctly. TVs reset every 5-10 mins so we often had to wait to see our time/view hints. Overall a super frustrating experience and waste of a cool concept.
