School of Magic

Pretty fun room! Sounds like they’ve had a revamp since some of these other reviews, making the rooms more cohesive. The puzzles aren’t particularly difficult, but some can be fiddly, we had a few stupid moments where we just didn’t use our heads, mainly because some of the answers truly are “that simple”. Great beginners room, if you’re in here and struggling to figure out a puzzle, just remember it will be the simplest answer!

Rounding out my Mystery Rooms campaign with the School of Magic, it turned out to be a fundamentally sound room complete with a handful of entertaining on-theme puzzles and props. Would I write home about it? No. Would I write a Morty review about it? Maybe. There was nothing necessarily frustrating or illogical about this little wizarding experience but I do find when you mess around in the world of "Harry Potter-adjacent", the content rarely involves anything new. While the Mystery Rooms have once again done a really solid job in bridging the Indestroom gaps, unfortunately now that this has been playable for a more than a few years, the wear and tear is starting to show and a flip might be in order. Overall far from the worst in terms of quality but still the weakest offering amongst the MR roster. (I need a break from witchcraft). (and prison breaks). (and bank heists). 6/10 🔏🧩

A pretty popular theme here, School of Magic was an enjoyable time. Nothing that blew me away but nothing egregious/out of place either. A pretty middle of the road experience perhaps better geared to beginners. The room felt a little warn, especially in the first space. Could maybe use a little touch up to keep it feeling alive. Put together better than a lot of Indestroom pre-packed rooms I’ve played but not my favourite here.

Enjoyed it, decent decorations, but feels a bit old, was cool

Was a fun room, my only gripe was we finished with ~15 minutes to spare and yet the gave us like 3 hints back to back (unprompted)

We enjoyed most of the room but it didn't have a great flow to it like other rooms we've done, even at this location. There were a couple of audio clues which were just too hard to hear over the background music. It did have some unique and fun puzzles.

A fun escape room with different puzzles. Not really sure what the theme was though and I cannot remember the storyline. The first room was Harry Potter themed. The second room Camelot themed. Was not as immersive as other rooms I have been in but it was enjoyable.
