A Christmas Inheritance

So many easter eggs and references in this room. Very cute interactions from our game masters that really do make this room a memorable experience. Would suggest 4-6 for this room!

Absolutely delight of a room. So much fun with great atmosphere. Shame it’s going away for the holidays but the quality of rooms at Open Door is outstanding. Diego was a FANTASTIC game master as well.

Instantly my favorite Christmas room! This surprised and charmed us with its hilarious references to those goofy Hallmark holiday movies, the top notch set design, the variety of puzzles, the emphasis on teamwork, and the ultimately heartwarming Christmas story. Extra points to our GM Mia who had us smiling and laughing every time. Top notch experience all around.

I’ve had polarizing experiences with holiday-themed escape rooms - they’re usually really good or really bad. This room is really good. My first reason for giving this room a heart is because of the way they used the live actors. The live actors progressed the story and also gave us little breaks between the puzzles to engage with the story in a unique way. Then, there were the role assignments. The ideal number for this room would be 4, and that is because those 4 roles had special puzzles just for them. I did see that this room could hold up to 12 but I could imagine the experience not being as great with too many cooks in the kitchen. We had a group of 5 and I felt like we all had plenty of things to do among us. Finally, there were the puzzles themselves. There was a good combination of logic puzzles, tactile puzzles, music puzzles, etc. The diversity of puzzles was well thought out and I am curious about their Inheritance room now that I’ve seen their Christmas edition! If you could only choose one game in this location, choose this one! I do have a caveat though that Christmas is a Christian holiday so it may help if you have a Christian background, but all of the puzzles are accessible even if you do not!

The actors were delightful. Very fun. Silly story. The puzzles are relatively straightforward, but there are a lot of them, so divide and conquer was really helpful.

This is such a fun game - and it feels like you got thrust right into a hallmark movie! There are fun and creative puzzles that put you right into the Christmas spirit. Perfect room to do with friends or family and plenty to do to keep everyone occupied. Challenging enough to not feel easy but not too difficult to make it not fun. I love their dedication to story to make everything feel worth doing. Definitely recommend!

Best Christmas themed room! I’ve never laughed so much in an escape room. If you want a challenging, stressful trying to beat the clock escape this isn’t the room. If you want to have a good time this is the room. The puzzles are different. Some challenging. If your group is introverts this also might not be your room. But if you are want to have a great time with your game host please do this room before it closes.

Best Christmas room ever and top ten favorite out of 200. This is why I had to do a review and they should keep this open year-round even though it’s Christmas theme. I don’t usually enjoy a live actor but the way that they use the live actor in the situation was so fun and interesting. The storyline was very special And meaningful.
