Fun (obviously witch themed) room. Our group and another group made up a 7 person team for the game. Puzzles were decently themed and varied. A lot of the puzzles are built to give you one small fraction of a larger puzzle with far fewer giving you a new reveal or noticeable progress on their own. Everything was well themed, though the final puzzle seemed like it should have belonged in a different room in the game, though likely placed do to space limitations. Never got a final time of completion (time isn't displayed and communication is over "radio" aka voice from god) then again the final puzzle completion is determined by a game master manual trigger not something directly triggered by the players action. So the final game time could be rather subjective (at least up to a minute or two could be dependent on the game masters opinion).

First time doing a room with a group of strangers since the Pandemic and I was happy with the results. The room is definitely large enough to accommodate a bigger group and the fact that it's non linear is added bonus. The set was extremely well done and the puzzles were solid and really made use our thinking caps. I would so my only complaint was the story line. I may have missed some information in the intro but I didn't follow where the Witch part of the story came into play.

After over 70 rooms, this was our first public experience. After some initial trepidation we had a great time working with a group of kids and their parent. They actually enhanced what would have been a very straightforward escape experience into something memorable. Room itself has some near reveals, but, story is nonsensical and the room was more about the designer making big displays of technical competency over any sort puzzling.

Happened to be in Boston for the Mystery Hunt which coincided with the recent opening of Trapology’s newest room, The Witching Hour. This was an enjoyable room; mostly linear, with a few puzzles that can be done in parallel once you break past the initial area. There are some nice effects, although the finale felt anticlimactic (but I got the impression they are planning to add something more to the endgame). The build quality is good, as one expects from Trapology, and the puzzles are solid. We found one early puzzle a bit underclued but other than that we had little difficulty with 3 players. It is spooky/creepy with one pseudo-jump scare but nothing that is actually frightening. We had a good time. I’d say it is more difficult than The Retreat but not as challenging as Crush Depth or The Institute. Recommended.
