We were very glad to be able to make it to this room while we were in town for work. I would say, due to this being a limited run game, it seemed like some pieces were a little more "temporary" feeling than their standard games. This was a little on the tougher side for the 2 of us, but we only needed 1 hint and scraped by with about 4 minutes to spare!

We had a ton of fun doing this OMITB ER! There were 8 of us in our own group (no strangers), 2 of them were 12 y/o, and 6 adults. Only one person had never done an ER before. There was a lot for people to do, and even those who didn't know the show really enjoyed it. The cons: (NYC Midtown) -The rooms were quite small. 8 people was definitely MAX. I would recommend for a group of 2-4 though, given the choice. -The elements were quite run down (Aug 2026) - they either need to do a major refresh, or retire it, soon. -Of note, this is a makeover of "the Heist" - I haven't done that one previously, so it wasn't an issue for me at all, but worth noting. -One of the elements didn't work, and we don't think it was user error. The GM had to manually trigger something for us. Good they were able to do that, but it did take away from the immersion/ experience. -It was really warm in the room to start with, and we had a lot of people! Pros: -Super friendly staff! We were celebrating 2 August birthdays, and they brought a big banner :) -The room generally flows well. There was one place we were stuck that I truly don't think we would've progressed without a hint. -The theme was super fun, both for fans of the show as well as those who didn't know it. -They allow photos/videos in the room!

One element didn't work, which was disappointing, but they handled it well. Overall things are a bit run-down though.

Accessibility

mobility - there are some tight spaces, but i believe it would all be accessible hearing - one element involves listening, and the volume was actually quite low color blindness - multiple elements involved discerning visible colors

Felt more like a pop-up than a full The Escape Game experience. Eh...

I finally got around to trying the Only Murders in the Building room! I would recommend doing it for the fun easter eggs throughout. For those of you who have done The Heist, there are small overlaps between the experiences, but I was glad it wasn't a total repeat. I would also try to book at a less popular time with a team of 4 or less people. I did this for my birthday, so I knowingly brought 7 people into the space, but it is so much better with less people. One highlight about this room is that the middle part isn't linear, so tasks can be done concurrently. Our game guide Sydney was so enthusiastic and made our experience even better! Because this room has a higher price tag for an already expensive experience, I would only recommend it over the other games if you are a fan of the show, since it is a limited time run.

This was fun as a fan of the tv show but as an escape room enthusiast I was pretty disappointed! There were multiple puzzles that were out of game when we played causing us to skip major pieces of the room. Also, four of the 12 physical puzzle pieces were destroyed beyond use. Audio was improperly balanced. There’s more I could put but this was just not a great experience whatsoever.

Really cool setup with a lot of nonlinear puzzles. Didn’t require any knowledge of the show. Wasn’t easy but you could ask for as many hints as needed
