Another fun TEG game and our last of the ones available in Massachusetts. Some interesting twists, turns and sacrifices had to be made. Thanks for the kind note congratulating us on our MA TEG sweep!

Your humble spaceship is blindsided by a ferocious and hungry black hole. If it’s not stopped within the hour, the entire solar system will be consumed! Your only hope is a nearby space station harboring antimatter to blow the black hole (and everything around it) to smithereens! Loved this room! Only brought two people so some of the puzzles were trickier. Def falls into the new escape game era (tech focused) great staff (Eva and Jacob!)

Pretty fun game! I personally felt like it was more of a game room with different challenges to complete instead of a puzzle room. It was still fun! We were 2 players and only asked for one hint, escaped with 12 minutes left to the timer.
Great service!

Amazing room, I know it's a franchise but the production quality of the props and environment is really next level. Come just to feel immersed in another environment.
Novel but not complicated puzzles

As fun as this game was, I should caveat the review by saying I should not have gone in with such high expectations. I was told that this was quite possibly the best game The Escape Game had built yet. It was not. It was a super fun, well done game, but it was not nearly their best work. Part of this stems from the fact that the intro sequence sets the game up like a world class, story based, incredibly immersive experience… and then it’s not. There aren’t any plot developments, the characters don’t speak to you until the end of the game, and nothing surprising ends up happening. It feels like you signed up for a space mission… and then everything went according to plan. There’s one scene they tried to make dramatic, but it ended up being lackluster, and didn’t even work for our group. That being said, the game itself is quite well done. I’m a big fan of the puzzles where it feels like you’re outsmarting the design of the actual game, and this game had a lot of that. It’s always fun to play a game by TEG, and as long as your expectations are set properly, this game is a blast.
Feels like you’re outsmarting a system.

Opening scene indicated it was going to be a very immersive and story-based experience, but it was misleading. The story basically disappeared the second the opening scene was over.

Second time playing this room and we breezed through it!! I had so much fun and I think it was easier the second time around because we didn’t have the guys with us! Jacob was a great game master!!

First and foremost, I'd like to say the customer service at every location has been top knotch for the escape game, but this place took the cake. We played two games here today and this was our favorite of the two. The puzzles flowed very nicely, and though at some points we thought we were stuck, it didn't take us too long to figure out what came next. Our team of two needed one small nudge along the way, but that's only because I didn't complete my part of the puzzle correctly to trigger the reaction on something, so we were nudged to circle back. By the time we got to one big puzzle element, it was closer to lunch time and we'd done back to back rooms so we were a bit hangry, but with a little bit of teamwork we made it through with a good amount of time to spare. Loved this room, along with every other room we've done at the escape game. (To note, we specifically seek out times where we can play alone, where no one has booked. Early on a Tuesday was great for this today! We've also had great luck at other locations super late at night.)

Yet another incredible experience at TEG! The staff at every TEG location has been so incredibly kind, wonderful, and accommodating. (Not sponsored - yet). Truly a great company and staff. The room itself was so fun. A lot of really great elements. Very high tech and everything worked very well.

Such a fun a creative room. Love the atmosphere and the puzzles were awesome! I can honestly say having done most of the escape rooms in the greater Boston area, this specific chain location is one of the best. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone along side Red Fox and Boxaroo. Also, the staff are by far the best of any location I’ve been to, we did 4 rooms so they gave us a signed custom card (based on our room/) to commemorate it!! Sosooooo good.
Super creative. Loved the ending :)

The Escape Game is a rare franchise that can boast consistent quality, top notch customer service, and games worthy of both enthusiasts and beginners. After this game won a Gold Lock, I was very curious to see how The Escape Game managed to top themselves. I was not disappointed. Once again, The Escape Game designed an energetic, involved, and accessible game that made use of a highly polished set and fun characters. However, this game stands out in particular for its puzzle design. This is a master class in justification and gamefication. Each puzzle not only engaged with the set and story, from the introductory interaction to get everyone geared up to the more meaty later game interactions, but also stood out as being integral to our mission. We were here to destroy, first and foremost, and as a result, the game design required a lot of unusual connections for a mainstream game. The puzzles inverted the traditional role of the player and instead profoundly engaged with the immersive feeling of the storyline. While the puzzles were “puzzley” in the sense that they had solutions and structure, the methods of solving felt more like naturally discovered methods of circumvention rather than simply puzzles for the sake of having a puzzle. All this is underpinned by some truly impressive construction and set design. The space ship struck a great balance between functional, futuristic, and puzzle elements.
As far as puzzles go, this is The Escape Game’s best game yet. Every interaction was interesting, justified, and highly tactile
The effects, sleek yet industrial set design, and use of screens was impressive and immersive
This is one of the absolute best companies for customer service - Clayton, Julianna, Morgan were such excellent hosts and so generous.

The justification for the puzzles - and the puzzles themselves, made this game standout in terms of gameplay.
The story is good, but the truly impressive feature of the narrative is how the gameplay corresponded to the players role and furthered their objective.
