Abominably excellent room that may remind you of the original room that stood there Gold Rush. But this is definitely super different, and I actually like this one more. Great puzzles that were very logical and fun with good flow. Wonderful wow moments and transitions, and even a guest appearance from the big guy himself! Be warned that like all rooms at this company, there are public bookings but we lucked out and had the Yeti all to ourselves! This room was nice, ice baby!

This may be up there with my favorite games. Everything flowed incredibly well, there wasn’t anything that seemed like a logical leap. There were several puzzles that were very unique or something I’ve only seen once before. The puzzles themselves were a blast to solve, several moments where I knew what to do but figured it couldn’t be that cool of a solution. The atmosphere was as amazing as always, the room you start in was especially cool.

A few spooky moments that are more loud noises than truly scary but a bit dark at times.

Another fun game from TEG!
Generally fun puzzles. One was a creative idea that I hadn’t seen before, but execution was a little hard to interpret. Another puzzle was a little finicky. But overall a lot of fun.
Built on the bones of gold rush but actually a more interesting. Set.
Game master was Jacob.

This game was so fun to play! Definitely, a cool experience with your friends and strangers. The game is suppose to flow linearly, but there are some puzzles where you can do nonlinear to achieve the escape. Recommend if you’re in the area to check it out. Our GM was so fun and nice!

Room was okay. After the Orlando location got a TERPECA nomination, I must have hyped this room too much in my head, because I left slightly disappointed. It was still fun, although maybe having 6 people was too much because the room is on the smaller side. I went with some of my colleagues since we were in the area for a conference. They are newer to escape rooms and they had a blast. This room was mostly combination locks with very minimal tech. There is a pretty unique interaction that’s very cool and everyone loved. Set was immersive enough. Many puzzles were multi-step. Not a must-play room by any means, but worth doing if you’re in town or if you have exhausted all the better Chicago-land rooms in the suburbs.

Just as good as the room it replaced, gold rush. This room had many multi-step puzzles that made players make one extra connection more than may be expected in a room like gold rush. The puzzles were the standout feature, aside from one that was unexpectedly difficult due to darkness and one technological glitch. The puzzles were on theme and required collaboration. This room had a lot of locks, but it didn’t take anything away from the room, and there still was a good amount of tech. The set design was solid as expected from the escape game, and one transitional scene stood out as a highlight for the way that the dynamic set was able to control your attention to make some magic happen. The story was a bit confusing and it felt like we were just solving puzzles for the sake of it, but they were so fun that I didn’t mind. I think special ops is still the best room I’ve done at this location for the strength of its set design and storyline.

Sybil treated us great. A re-theme of their Gold Rush room, but it works really well, and feels plenty different enough. A great time, with plenty of non-linear puzzles.
