Was an ok room but not up to the usual quality of this company. Felt pretty barren and like there wasn’t very much effort put into decoration, would definitely recommend their inside job room at the middleberg location over this. It sounds like they have made improvements in the puzzles since the previous review was written, but there was one major puzzle at the beginning that was felt unfair. The idea of the puzzle was interesting, but the execution made it too difficult. Sad that they got rid of the candy factory room for this, which was a great room.

One of the worst designed rooms I have ever encountered. 25 min in I was actually debating leaving. We required a clue to solve about every other puzzle. The clues didn’t make sense, to the point where at one point we just asked for the answer so that I could be done with the horrible puzzle. The room appears as though it would be fun and have a good amount of tech, however, the game design was atrocious. We played the sewer game at the other location and had a great time, got out with many minutes to spare, and only used one clue. This game does not match the caliber of what I’d expect from this company. The game isn’t doomed, but most of the puzzles need tweaking. What was most frustrating, was after the game we asked the GM to explain the one puzzle we just asked for the answer on after we gave up…they did not know how the puzzle worked either. I’m all for a challenge, but this room just isn’t that. Don’t waste your time or money.

Difficulty

Hard

Unnecessarily hard - puzzles didn’t make sense, things were not labeled clearly. No heads up if codes were supposed to be 5, 6, or even 15 things long. Constantly set up like you have enough info to solve a puzzle, when you don’t, so you waste time.

A good mixture of both.

Was anything broken?

Yes

One of the puzzles we could not solve. So eventually we just asked for the answer to move on. Afterwards I asked about how we would have solved it, so we could learn if I ever encounter a similar puzzle. The GM said they didn’t know how to solve it and that it was too confusing. I’m fine not solving something if I have a brain fart or am not smart enough, but when the employees don’t even know how to solve it…it probably shouldn’t be in the game.
