Saije was our GM throughout our entire day at Escape Warehouse, and she did an incredible job! She gave us some cool background info on the rooms, and on the company itself. She gave us guidance when needed, but also gave us sufficient space to figure things out on our own. This girl deserves a raise, she clearly loves her work. The beginning of the experience created an authentic tension, I loved it. And as we explored the house, the set design became more and more convincing. The structure of the space is very non-linear, just like an actual house would be, and we found ourselves moving from room to room completing some very fun and slightly disturbing puzzles. A certain dexterity puzzle was ::chef’s kiss:: My chief criticism of this room has to do with the way it’s described. It’s called “Hide + Seek,” which would lead players to believe that it requires an element of stealth, or that we’re being actively pursued throughout the experience. Neither of those things materialize, however. The Escape Warehouse website describes and visually depicts the killer hunting down the players…but we didn’t have to hide at all. There’s no real sense of immediate danger throughout the experience, and no dramatic climax or fanfare at the end. I would’ve titled this room “The Killer’s Lair” or “7644 Thompson St.” or something along those lines, since the experience is more about exploring/escaping a creepy house, not actively evading a deranged murderer.

Rating: 4/5 - Great set with an appropriately creepy vibe Pros: ➕ Set looked great with many areas to explore, good use of vertical space. One of the better creepy houses I've seen. ➕ Puzzles were enjoyable and satisfying to solve. ➕ Vibe was creepy without being scary, no jump scares. ➕ Mix of combo/padlocks and tech based triggers. ➕ Interesting storyline that ties in with their other rooms. ➕ GM was friendly and great to talk to, though we didn't really use any hints. Room for improvement: ➖ No particular "wow" moments or cool reveals like their other 2 rooms. ➖ The addition of an actor would ramp up the tension and immersion. See Neighborhood Watcher at The Escape Ventures as a good example of how to do this in a creepy house theme. ➖ The ending wasn't quite satisfying enough, there wasn't really a climax to the story. We played as a team of 4 enthusiasts and finished with well over 15 min left, it is not a difficult room, I'd recommend 2-3 players. My ranking of all 3 rooms here so far: 1. Shhh! 2. Unidentified: The Case of Mystery Gates 3. Hide + Seek

Attention to detail was terrific, medium difficulty with non-linear type flow. I love how all the games story weaves together. We did this room with two, it is doable and very fun. Plenty for everyone to do even with larger groups.

I love how the stories between their rooms are all connected. I have done this one multiple times. This last time I brought my children 9 and 10. There were a few parts that they found scary but nothing too bad.

My friends and I had a great time in this room. We are giant babies, and found this room to be unsettling, but not scary. You could feel the suspense/urgency, but in the best way possible. Very fun room!

This was a recommendation from a Facebook group when we couldn’t book the 13th gate for two people. So pleased with this room! The atmosphere was great, the game flowed well, and best of all, it was a lot of fun!
Great game with excellent puzzles.
