Unique scenery, great puzzles, great showmanship, and great atmosphere. Owner Uriah did a great job with this.

Your friend Connor, an aspiring novelist has been working on a book about serial killers. He thinks he has scored his big break when he finds a lead on the Zodiac Killer. Obtaining information on a serial killer that was never caught was an oppotunity too great to pass up. Wrecked is both a very strong puzzle game and a powerful theatrical experience in its own right. From the unusual setting, to the transitions, to the highly original storyline, it was such an incredible game. There was a lot to do, and it wasn’t exactly easy - some of my favorite challenges innovated on escape room gameplay while also connecting with the theme in unusual ways. The final section in particular was one of my favorite segments of gameplay in an escape room due to its structure and design. The set and story were great in their own right - the junkyard set was highly unusual and made for some stunning transitions. The effects genuinely shocked me in some ways and made solving puzzles tense - especially towards the end. To top it all off, the game boasted a refreshing take on a horror storyline that subverted expectations - it’s easy to miss (we did) so make sure to ask about it! These games were a tight fit for us but Masterpiece was incredibly accommodating for us, and I’m so glad - this was absolutely a must play.
Genuinely challenging, with a plethora of puzzles to work through across practically every style.
The set balanced being busy while also being an accessible place to puzzle - everywhere you looked there was incredible amounts of detail.
Rebecca was our host and she was very attentive - plus we enjoyed the post game explanation by Joseph!

Lots of puzzles with a highly unusual set
Ask for the explanation afterwards!
Hard
There was a lot to do, and there were absolutely some devious challenges at play. Pay attention.
Mechanical
There was some incredible effects as well!

I would recommend a slightly larger team, especially for the more nonlinear portions.
Scary
While there weren’t any actors, there were some very intimidating scenes

Excellent room and truly a Masterpiece! From start to finish, the interesting sets and cinematic transitions amazed. The room also manages to do something with sin that I’ve always wanted to see implemented well in a room, and this delivers it masterfully. The puzzles are excellent throughout and fit the environment well. There’s an elaborate story that the GM had to explain to us, and my only wish is that it were more clearly reflected organically through the game itself. Because the story was that good! Get Wrecked!

9.2/10 No pun intended, but Wrecked was a masterpiece. The unique setting of the room and story were great, but what really stood out for us was the puzzle design and flow. The puzzles were unique and fit each part of the story so well. The complexity of the puzzles in the room added to the experience and was a highlight for us. There was one puzzle in particular that had so many different parts to it before we ended up getting the code we needed. This is a puzzler’s dream and we absolutely loved it. The incoming storm element was also done very well and really added to the immersion. We wouldn’t say this room was scary, but it was definitely spooky and this storm really added to that spooky feeling. We got to speak with one of the owners, Joseph, throughout our time playing 2 of their rooms and he was beyond great! He opened up early to be able to accommodate us and we couldn’t be more grateful. Masterpiece is in greats hands and we cannot wait to return to see what they have up their sleeves.

The owner, Joseph, had to come in and asked us to leave one of the rooms while he fixed a broken mechanism. Was very quick and didn’t ruin the experience much.

Definitely a different themed escape room than what we normally play. I loved the puzzles that fit with the theme!

I liked the set for this escape room, you can tell a lot of detail went into this. Fun puzzles, a good variety of tech and mechanical. And the perfect eerie vibe. One thing I like about this location is after you escape they explain the rest of the back story incase you didn’t pick up on the story throughout. I recommend this room for sure!

One lock was already opened, but we solved the puzzle before we realized lol. So I guess it didn’t really mess with the flow.

I enjoyed Wrecked way more than I expected to, it really knew what it wanted to do and executed on it extremely well. The decor and space was super interesting and had some great environmental storytelling, while the puzzles were strong all the way through (and especially at the end, which has an absolutely fantastic puzzle sequence that alone was worth the price of admission). This is the strongest game we played at Masterpiece and felt like a distinct step up from their other games. If you travel to Charlotte I think it is worth going out of the way to play this game and help find the Zodiac Killer!

An absolute must-do, one of the best puzzle-focused rooms I've ever played, and a new top game for me. It's rare that a game has not only puzzles I've never seen before, but also has not even ONE mediocre puzzle. Bravo. Play it!
