I was not a fan of this escape room until the end. The last challenge was fun but the earlier rooms & puzzles seemed quite worn & were not intuitive. I usually do escape rooms with one other person but in this one I was with 3 other people - which may have thrown me off my game. Also, I found the gore a bit too much.

Lost in Melbourne puts a fun spin on a room theme that seems to have been done to death; the dreaded zombie outbreak. Whilst their premise is generic enough: hospital, zombies coming, find the cure etc, the puzzle variety and flow is unique enough to keep it afloat. Some interesting player engagement at the start sets off a bit of a quirky experience with the inclusion of handcuffs and a crazy amount of UV that sometimes worked in the rooms favour and sometimes didn’t. A healthy amount of areas to unlock and explore kept us engaged for the most part but what really lets the room down is its ending. After unlocking the cure and fighting off oncoming hordes of the undead in the form of a hectic time-based puzzle, we were left completely deflated as a single non-descript door opened into an empty hallway. We were eventually greeted by our GM who gave us 3 whole words before running off to reset the room, bizarre. A weird one but a fun one.
Gamemaster interaction and customer service left a lot to be desired.

Survivor had an interesting variety of puzzles including a skill-based puzzle that had us sweating and racing around at breakneck pace. A fun opening that was delivered without a single iota of inflection, I felt like this GM hated his job or us or both. Some tech felt slow to react or had us confused as to what to work on next. The story was not consistent between the briefing and the in-game story which isn’t a big deal to some but definitely something that grinds my gears. This game suffered from the same problems as the others at LiM with clearly visible tech, confusing flow and damage fixed with tape and hot glue. We finished and were greeted once again with the necessity focused on resetting the room as opposed to the customer experience. Again, we got out with plenty of time to spare. It was not the highest priority these guys just did not want a bar of us. An okay room with predictable jump scares and a flat story, not my favourite in Melbourne made worse by the lack of customer service.

We loved this room, lots of challenges and different puzzles and it definitely had the scare factor. The last part was challenging for just 2 of us, would definitely have been easier with a couple of extra people, but we got there in the end.

This was my first ever escape room experience with my best friend and boy was it a journey and a half haha! Just when you think you’re near the end, another room/section reveals itself. Some unexpected moments, and a little bit of thrill excitement was enough to get our blood pumping and our heart beating. Great room!

Had a WILD time playing this fantastic and intense room. I played with a mate of mine very spontaneously. Room was fantastic with a mix of traditional and tech puzzles. Our GM made up for my last experience with Lost in Melbourne. The GM truely made the game so immersive and fun!
