“I liked the steam punk element to the room. I though it freshed up the zombie theme. This room was well decorated and immersive. We needed a little nudge in the beginning but then got into the groove. There was one particular puzzle that I thought was unique.”

“Fantastic game. Keeps you engaged and busy the whole way through. Very fun puzzles. Definitely made it harder on ourselves by only having two people but still very doable with two people. All around great game. The game masters were awesome!”

“This room is super fun! The room is creepy and the puzzling is unique. Everything about this room is... different. At times, you may feel like you don't have enough information, but eventually you will stumble into right what you need.”

“I've done a few Jack the Ripper themed escape rooms, but this one is my favorite. I felt like I was truly walking down the old streets in London doing this room. I'd say a great room for folks looking for high level decor and very interactive puzzles. They weren't on the difficult side but there is a bit of running around to do. Oh, and the ending of the game is leave you buzzing!”

“REALLY fun speakeasy themed room with a lot of interactive puzzles that felt like we were playing poker or at the fair. Be sure to have a group of 5 or 6 to tackle everything since the rooms are quite large. Fun little surprises and the decor was amazing!”

“This game was phenomenal, my group had an absolute blast and talked about our experience for the rest of the night. Our great experience started with Ryan, our game master. He was welcoming, informative, passionate, and fun loving - We greatly enjoyed his commitment to customer experience. Thank you Ryan, we really appreciate your kindness. The room itself was a blast, puzzles are easy to moderate yet satisfying as heck. I’d recommend this game to anyone who’s visiting Colorado Springs, I can’t wait to try more of Aha’s rooms.”

“Codebusters 2 does it again! We have already completed the other 3 rooms at this location so we had to do the new room when it came out! It did not disappoint!!! It is one of the most immersive rooms I have ever seen and the puzzles were challenging and themed very well! The owner/creator Steve has a passion and enthusiasm for creating an amazing experience and it really shows! Thanks for a fun mother's day!”

“This is a fantastic set. The items you play with within this room are super on-theme and very enjoyable. The puzzles are challenging. Our GM said that she had not seen anyone get out in the last 2 months of running the room... Yikes! Glad we broke that streak... Anyhow, if you are ready to puzzle like there's no tomorrow, all in a beautiful set, give this room a go!”

“The fun, logical puzzles in this room were enjoyable for our group of three. There are a couple of cool elements that made this room a little more special than Derailed. Fun amount of teamwork involved as well.”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
