After a couple dozen rooms around the US, this is easily my favorite. It is truly beautiful. It’s challenging but achievable. The ending is very satisfying. The staff is enthusiastic and kind. Even the lounge the room is attached to is charming. We will be hitting up their other rooms next time we are in the area!

An excellent escape room that requires cooperation and clear communication between players. Starts small and unfolds into a massive game full of charm. The Game Master was fantastic, too. Very charming and funny, he ran the game in character and really added to the atmosphere

I preferred this game over Amulet of Time - I thought the set was more immersive and interactions were more interesting. I would have ideally liked more puzzles and additional spaces, but I imagine it would have been tough given the building setup.

Very immersive with a good mix of traditional locks and sensor type locks. I liked the puzzles and the flow and logic was excellent. Definitely a harder room and I wouldn't bring more than 4 people. 2-3 experienced players would be ideal.

I really loved the experience. The Qpass system was broken today so we couldn’t get the entire story which was disappointing but they gave the passes out for free today so I cannot complain much. I wish they had better web app integration so that you can enjoy the lore better.

It was a really fun and challenging room with a great invention/technical theme throughout. There was always something for our family of four to work on, and we stayed in a good rhythm most of the game. We did need a couple small nudges at one point, but the puzzles were clever, satisfying, and very well designed overall. Big shoutout to the game master too. Super personable, encouraging, and great to talk with after the game. Definitely looking forward to trying their other room.

What an incredibly cute set! We were given heads up multiple times that the sheer number of puzzles in this room makes it overwhelming for two people, however we still managed to get out with the monthly record! That said, they aren’t kidding as there is literally always something to be doing and solving in this room. The puzzles take a wide arrange of styles and forms but none of which ever prove to be unfair or frustrating in any way. This room, for me, is an absolute must to go experience!

Cool room with neat puzzles and mechanics. Story is fine and I'm not a big story person anyway. GM was awesome, and we had a great time. Lots of puzzles but I would limit it to 4 people, and 2-3 would be a sweet spot.

One thing Mystic’s Littleton location does very well is utilize limited space effectively. Both games I’ve played here so far have made the most of a fairly small area while still feeling like I’m progressing and not just staying in one place. This one was a pretty solid bread-and-butter escape room. It’s not that flashy but it’s really good. Puzzles are fun and just challenging enough.

I know seeing yet another Egyptian room may give pause to those who feel like they’ve seen ‘em all but this one is definitely special! Very immersive and incredible set design, and a lot of the puzzles were unique for this style of room as well. We were warned multiple times before the room that groups of two rarely get out however we didn’t find it particularly difficult and I don’t necessarily think you’d need anymore than 2 to do the same especially if you’re well seasoned.

So. Much. Fun. Obviously not an escape room. More like a live action video game. They have three “versions” all have different games. We did the Slime one. Four of us - we beat the bomb! No joke. So fun. Don’t miss this.

How Do Escape Rooms Work?

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
