“Really friendly staff. The lobby area had some games to play while waiting if needed. This room was a mix of challenging because there were only two of us. And a blessing that it was just two of us that knew each other well enough to get through some of the unique puzzles. There were some not traditional uses of traditional locks that I loved to see. Overall a fun room and I hope we get back to try more here.”

“The room was quite challenging but in a fun way. When I felt lost, it was because we had missed something. There's some really interesting puzzles that I haven't seen before that totally fit the Christmas spirit. I'd highly recommend going in with minimum of 3-4 people because there is a lot to do.”

“Easily one of my favorite rooms! The theme and set design were top notch. I love the sense of progression as you move through the train. Quite a few different puzzles I’ve never seen before which kept it super interesting throughout. Looking forward to doing more rooms here.”

“This was my favorite of the two rooms here. Definitely challenging but we still managed to escape with two people. Like the other room, the puzzles and solutions were creative and the room designer didn’t stick to the typical “find a code, open the lock” tropes that a lot of rooms rely on. The play through was fairly linear and easy to follow while offering enough red herring solution methods to keep us on our toes. Would definitely recommend.”

“Fun room with really original puzzles. Unique start to game. Technology was all working and very solid. Emphasis in this room is definitely on the puzzles (not super immersive) and we had a great time.”

“LOVE LOVE LOVE this company and their rooms. Although the rooms are on the smaller side, they are jam packed with innovative puzzles and rewarding moments. Since the rooms are smaller, try to do this room with 4-5 people so that you aren't feeling like sardines. The puzzles in my opinion were on the easier side, but you get lost finding all the puzzles and clues that you don't mind. The GMs at this company are escape room nerds and love going in depth with how the rooms were built. I also appreciate them letting me be a weirdo and do the room taking off my shoes. My feet were hating my ballerina flats!”

“Great room. Great theme. Just as others have posted, the owners did an amazing job making the most out of the space. My wife and I escaped with about 12 minutes left, and we are pretty experienced (100 rooms). Overall, great immersion, great use of props and tech, tons of fun. Don’t miss this room. A must do in the Denver area.”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
