“Every second of Nemesis Club is a not-to-be missed immersive experience. We loved the creative storyline, fun tech, logical puzzles, and awesome gamemasters. The swag was totally worth the visit too. If you are anywhere near Phoenix, this is a must-visit escape room. (Even if your not, catch a flight there).”

“A creative and ambitious game that injects a lot of fun amidst some serious puzzle solving. As with all Nemesis games, the set is brilliant, and this one really has some fun surprises. While I did love this game, I will say some puzzles and interactions felt too underclued. A late-game section was simultaneously delightful and frustrating, as we didn’t know how to find the right answer but finding wrong answers was hilarious; when time is steadily ticking down, this can cause undue stress. Still, few games have been such powerful joy factories as this one.”

“This one is probably competing with Mad Hatter's Tea Party for the best at Eludesions, a lot of positives but also a couple of rough patches that I hope have been smoothed out in the couple years since I played it. Probably close to the top of the "scary" rooms I've done which in all fairness isn't a ton but speaks to the level at which this one can get to if it could've gone without the technical difficulties we had in the room. The last puzzle was kinda confusing and I never really understood it and there was one puzzle that didn't trigger at the right time which was unfortunate because it was a pretty cool puzzle if I remember right. Like I said the potential in this room is pretty high and I hope they've smoothed out the rough around the edges since, but it's definitely worth giving a shot because the story progressed pretty well, and we had a good time. One last thing is it's definitely the first room that Eludesions tried to do as high tech as it is which I think contributes to the technical difficulties that we had, an older gen 3 if I'm not mistaken.”

“Very good set design and variety of puzzles. Great game master who nudged our group of two if we got stuck. One puzzle took quite a bit of time and required a bit of a logic leap. Music playing in background made it hard to hear and concentrate a few times. Really fun room though overall.”

“The puzzles were fun to figure out and all made sense. I forgot something that was fairly straightforward and had to get a reminder nudge but the rest was a blast. I think I like the Isle room more, but this one is certainly worth playing.”

“The absolute BEST escape room I’ve ever been too. The puzzles were amazingly well thought through and themed. Toasty was adorable and a novel way to give hints. 10/10 I could have spent forever in there”

“Heard about Paranoia Quests new escape room they were opening in Phoenix from the enthusiasts page. We love the ones we have played in Atlanta and happened to be in the area so we made the trip. Their new concept is so cool, the front lobby channels the 90s nostalgia of the old Blockbuster or Hollywood Video stores from the past. From the second you step inside you are part of a story. I don't want to give anything away so you can experience it for yourself but what they did and how they created an immersive storyline that ties in their escape rooms is top notch. Escape Plan Lights Out is their smallest room but has high quality scenery, ambience and special fx. There are unique fun puzzles that make sense and a few multi layer puzzles that require the group to work together. The room has the perfect mix of tech and normal locks befitting of the theme, which was appreciated. We had a fun time in this one and highly recommend it, a great starting room at this location!”

There’s a reason why this part of the country is called the Valley of the Sun, few places in the US get more sun than this desert metropolis. But Phoenix and Glendale have a lot more to offer than just a nice tan, these closely related cities are a hotbed of culture, attractions, and some of the best escape rooms in the southwest. If visiting in the winter - something that is highly recommended - then consider catching a Cardinal’s football game at University of Phoenix Stadium. Or perhaps you might enjoy a family hike Papago Park? Whatever your interests may be, you’ve go to eat, and Chelsea’s Kitchen is an excellent option for any palette. Just be sure to save some room in the itinerary for some of the area’s best escape rooms - there’s a lot to experience, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself returning again and again.
Phoenix and Glendale have embraced the escape room community over the past few years, turning out some of the highest quality games in the region. Since the first escape rooms arrived in The Valley of the Sun, this oasis in the desert has fallen in love with these immersive experiences. In fact, greater Phoenix is now home to over 20 different escape room venues. Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at Eludesions Escape Rooms is a fantastical adventure suitable for all ages. Grim Stacks: Books & Binding at The Puzzle Effect seamlessly intertwines thought-provoking puzzles into its immersive theme and set design. Escape Westgate’s The Lost Tomb is a fresh take on the popular excavation motif. With dozens of escape games in the area, the possibilities are basically endless — you’ll find games with themes of horror, adventure, crime, espionage, and plenty you may not expect.
Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
There are plenty of awesome escape rooms to choose from in Phoenix & Glendale. The goal of Morty is to make escape rooms more accessible for everyone to find and play.
