There’s a reason why this part of the country is called the Valley of the Sun, few places in the US get more sun than this desert metropolis. But Phoenix and Glendale have a lot more to offer than just a nice tan, these closely related cities are a hotbed of culture, attractions, and some of the best escape rooms in the southwest. If visiting in the winter - something that is highly recommended - then consider catching a Cardinal’s football game at University of Phoenix Stadium. Or perhaps you might enjoy a family hike Papago Park? Whatever your interests may be, you’ve go to eat, and Chelsea’s Kitchen is an excellent option for any palette. Just be sure to save some room in the itinerary for some of the area’s best escape rooms - there’s a lot to experience, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself returning again and again.

1st time visiting The Nemesis Club  (TNC) and it lived up to the high expectations I read about. Entering through Soda Jerk and delivering the secret password, and then entering TNC through the hidden entrance was a fun experience.  

While in the waiting area for our game to start, we walked around and found some cool detailed decorations in the areas…the vibe told me that TNC was going to be great. 

We played Mogollon Monster, and immediately was immersed into the story with all the sound effects, the warning preparations from Ranger Nick, and how the game is started. I like doing physical skill puzzles so having this right off the bat was a fun surprise. 

The set being a campground was really well done and large. Be prepared to get a little dirty/sandy from the environment as the campground provides a real experience. Sets in all areas were great, and I especially enjoyed the outhouse and some surprises in there. 

Puzzles were really fun and for the most part straightforward.  Loved being in the RV at the end doing several different tasks, especially when the monster arrives at camp and the RV turns into a simulator experience. 

Customer service and GM’ing was good, but nothing above and beyond, so a little disappointed with the lack of enthusiasm. 

Overall, MM had great sets, puzzles, and tech as everything was really well done. We had a really fun time and will be back to play their other games when we return to Arizona.

This was a great room.  Lots of different components rolled into one.  There was some clever use of tech and the puzzle flow was great. Scott was also VERY accommodating and it was nice to see how much this company prioritizes customer service.  Def one of my new favorites.

This is hands down one of the best escape rooms I’ve ever done! It was so immersive from the minute you walk in the building and it continues the entire way through. The rooms were designed by a disney imagineer so just put that into perspective. It was mind blowing and I was thinking about the puzzles and how everything works the rest of the night. It was so much fun and I will for sure be back to try out the other 2!!

We have a problem. A BIG problem! A menacing robot at the Experiment Virtual Intelligence Laboratory (EVIL) is powering himself on. You have been recruited to break into the retro-futuristic lab and shut the robot down before he finishes charging and begins wreaking havoc. You have one hour. Good luck.

This was a really cute and entertaining game. I liked how a lot of the puzzle mechanics were outside of the box and thematic to the robot theme.

The animatronics were also super impressive. 

We lucked out on some of the more tricky puzzles and got them on our first try but I could see how it could be frustrating for less experienced escape room goers. Some of them are pretty hard to figure out what you need to do and include a lot of red herrings.

In terms of accessibility you need at least 1 person who’s willing to climb around on the floor a little and there’s a little bit of smoke effects at one point if that’s something that will bother you.

All in all, I enjoyed myself a lot. Solid 9/10 room.

This room was very immersive. There weren’t many locks or combinations- all the puzzles were oriented around physical arrangement of items or figuring things out. Story line was good and the props and room were great and extensive. Not too difficult, but overall a fun room!

In 1953, deep within the southern Arizona desert, lies a military research facility only known to the public as Bunker 16.

Bunker 16 was heavily focused on defense contracts and conducted various classified projects. With the discovery of a rare leech found within the waters of the Orinoco River, Bunker 16 began PROJECT: PESTILENCE. Despite its deceiving name, research on the leech yielded surprising results. The cells within the specimen could replicate those of any living organism it came in contact with. It was theorized that the creature’s cells could heal wounds in battle, even bringing a recently KIA solider back from the dead.

One night in October, the base abruptly sent a distress signal. The case files describe base personnel attacking each other with growths and mutations on their bodies, half eaten corpses, and unearthly roars and growls coming from the ventilations. Further investigation shows that one of the leeches was missing from its stasis tank. The Agency quickly covered up the mess, witnesses disappeared, files misplaced, and rumors hushed. All that is left of the base is a sea of sand and metal.

Now, you will enter the base on that horrifying night and bear witness to the destruction caused by a creature focused on its own survival. If you escape alive, be warned, you may be its new host!

A great room with fun ambience. How they gave flashlights for people to use fit the room very well.  We opted to not have the Zombie jump scare, so it was definitely less spooky.  It had a good variety of puzzles.

You and your friends were out for a night hike in the woods when you noticed a creepy old house on a dead end trail. Seeing the light flickering in the ATTIC, curiosity got the best of you. Once you get inside the door slams shut and locks behind you. You have 1 hour until midnight, when the house comes to LIFE, to steal yours!

Somewhere in Phoenix's Museum of Natural History, there is a picture worth trillions. The crime of the century has been committed and only one team of spies can retrieve this piece of art and bring it back to the rightful owner. As uncovered through classified investigations, the museum curator, Victoria Belfry, has been found of suspicious activity related to the stolen piece of priceless art. The task will not be easy. Curator Belfry is very intelligent. She has a security system that no ordinary person has ever cracked before. She will stop at nothing to prevent a retrieval of the stolen painting.

We need your expert team of spies to break into her office and retrieve the painting. Do you have what it takes to retrieve the painting before Belfry returns?

Awesome spy experience that manages to nail the Museum and art heist aesthetic extremely well. I didn’t find any puzzles to be tedious, and I did find a lot of puzzles to be designed around multiple players. Looking forward to seeing Greatest Escape’s third room!
