“AMAZING ESCAPE ROOM! Emmanuel was our game master and he was the absolute best, so incredibly nice. The story was cohesive with tricky puzzles, non-linear in some rooms so if you have a group you can split up to knock out some puzzles separately. Highly recommend this room and checking out this company! I have been to about 5 rooms with them and each one is equally as amazing.”

“2 Couples 1 Room Escapes again! We had a gentleman who has been working for just a few months. Although he made some mistakes we felt he did great! I loved a lot of puzzles within the tailor shop. I also loved the acting that I got to do within the rooms. Always fun to be a little extra in some of these rooms. Definitely try to locate all 12 Alcohol bottles if possible! After we completed the room with 23mins left we spoke with the GMs who showed us how 2 puzzles worked. We also got to see the inner workings of how the escape room worked. It was awesome to see how much technical work goes into a room in the background.”

“This room certainly impressed me and I can see why it is highly rated. The interior design is extremely detail oriented and well done - it’s no wonder this is a popular escape room for many. The puzzles were just the right amount of challenging and some were fairly unique to this location. Highly recommend!”

“We love how this room turned out! I really admire how they turned a small space into multiple rooms where you can go up and down. There weren’t a lot of puzzles, and they were pretty easy, so we had a lot of time left. Our GM was really nice, and we even chatted a bit at the end about their new project, which was really fun. Definitely coming back to try their new room.”

“I rated this room as a ❤️ because it was actually challenging and had a lot of puzzles. There were also a lot of unique, non-obvious ones. It was also perfectly themed with the story from the movie, so if you enjoy the film, you’ll get a kick out of this. We played as just 2 enthusiasts. We started off not rushing through and solving all the puzzles together because we almost always have plenty of time to escape a room. However we were rushing by the end and still didn’t get out. We should have started off in a hurry! I’d recommend doing this room with 3 or 4 people, or if you really enjoy a challenge then with just 2.”

“Absolutely LOVED this escape room because of its unique elements. I love how there were a lot of physical clues in this game too! It was definitely a memorable experience and I always rave about Prison Break to my friends. My top escape room recommendation from this company! P.S. Sorry for the blurry group photo LOL.”

“Fabulous room for big group- would be very difficult with only 2-3 or difficult with 4. We had 5 adults and were scrambling but finished. Puzzles not hard but massive quantity. Would recommend, one of my favorites”

“We did this room back to back after Wicked Wonderland. The room was worth the drive. Clever puzzles, and requires good team work to succeed. Done the other rooms in LA for this company and they are all very fun to do, more so if you like lock and key type of rooms.”

“Adored this room and the whole experience! Cute interactive lobby. Fun room with a lot of puzzles. This reminded me of the experiences that first got me into playing escape rooms because it still has physical locks. I personally love the use of physical locks and the satisfaction of a room that flows well. We played as a group of 6 experienced players and got out with 20 mins to spare and no hints. This is a positive to me. If our group can’t get out at all, it usually has been due to tech issues or poor game design time sinks. This room gave us enough challenge to feel like we used our brains, but would still be awesome and fulfilling for a newer group. Highly recommend escape rooms 66 for that classic escape room feel.”

“Loved the quirky theme and classic escape room feel. I fell in love with escape rooms years ago because I like solving puzzles with my friends and excitedly opening locks together. I appreciate the high tech rooms now in the industry, but there’s a special place in my heart for rooms like this one where you get to use combo locks and keys! A little tech goes a long way in this one. This room is not quite as amazing as the legendary Doggy Dog World (RIP) but brought a similar feeling of fun and cute immersion. Love the DIY feel because love is in every aspect of this room (except maybe the AI art which I do wish they would replace). Other than that, it’s fantastic.”

Irvine is bursting at the seams with amazing things to do. For the more outdoorsy types, Irvine sits just a short drive from pristine beaches, and the beautiful mountains that offer stunning views of the vistas below. Irvine is also home to some of the most thrilling kid-friendly attractions any where on the west coast. Go karts, waterparks, and museums dot the landscape. And while the kids are busy, perhaps the parents can sneak away to one of the nearby vineyards for some well deserved relaxation. Of course, when the family is ready to come together for some adventurous fun, Irvine also offers some of the very best escape rooms in southern California. Whatever your desire, Irvine has what you're looking for on your next vacation.
Although sometimes overshadowed by (relatively) nearby Los Angeles, Irvine is an incredible escape room destination minus the craziness of the big city. Since the first escape rooms arrived in the city, Irvine has crafted some of the very best immersive puzzle experiences in the southwest. In fact, the Irvine area is home to over 20 different escape room venues, and that number is sure to rise in the future. Irvine School of Wizardry and the Dragon Wand at Hidden Donkey is an award-winning room that remains a strong favorite among even the most experienced of players. Odditorium Emporium at EscapeX Rooms goes all-in on its theme, transporting players out of the world. The Return of the Magician at UNLOCKED: Escape Rooms is a deep experience that provides a thrill throughout its entire story. With nearly 100 escape games in the entire area, you’re sure to find the perfect game for you and your group.
Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
