“Not really an escape room. More of a haunted house with some puzzles. Still really fun. The production was incredible. You can tell they put in alot of effort into this. Also if you could book private.”

“This game was really fun. Spooky but not over the top scary. It is a public game and we lucked out to have people who were collaborative to play with. There is an actor who pushes you along which could be frustrating depending on how much you get stuck. Our experience was great. Really enjoyed the sets and heightened moments.”

“I soloed this room on a rainy day (weird LV weather). My other friends had yet to arrive in town due to flight delays and the one that was present was ill. Maya (spelling may be incorrect), aka bellhop-game master extraordinaire, communicated through gestures, helping to move me forward if I got hung up while keeping me immersed in the haunted hotel atmosphere. When I finally made my escape, Maya celebrated, making the experience all the more memorable. This is a large-scale escape room experience - there is plenty of space to move around for larger groups. There are multiple unique puzzles I have yet to see elsewhere after completing over 40 other escape rooms. This is a room you will remember. I hope they produce another spooky room so I can return for another adventure! Huge thanks to Maya (and the entire production team) for an unforgettable experience.”

“Wow 🤩 this location was SO much FUN. This experience was everything we want out of an escape room. Starting off with great staff Bailey and Addison. The immersion started from there. Don’t want to give any hints, but your experience starts before the room time does 😳😬🚪🥼💉🛁🪆♟️”

“This was my first escape room ever and I absolutely loved it. It has been the room that all other rooms have been compared to since then. I think the set design was good. The puzzles were just great. I had so much fun working my way through this one and I honestly wish I could forget some parts of it so I could take people again and again. I recommend this room often to people that want a scary feel to the room without it actually being scary.”

“I really enjoyed all of the rooms at the Basement including The Study. We did this one pre COVID where rooms could fill up with people you didn’t know and the max was definitely too many in my opinion. I think the sweet spot on this is prob 3-4 for me and my team. I appreciated the set design and there was some very creative spots that made it feel super creepy without actually being very scary. They had a puzzle in this room that I still talk about to this day as being very easy and also nearly impossible to solve for so many people. I can’t give it away, obviously, but let’s just say this room was fun!”

“I really love Trapped! Escape rooms! This was the first one I tried and I was impressed by how different it felt from other rooms I had tried before. They have puzzles that have never before seen nor have I seen since and they were just fun to explore and figure it out. They didn’t always feel super cohesive to the story, but you honestly don’t even stop to think about it because you’re too busy having fun! Def would recommend!”

“Wow!!! They use heat, water, and air to create a very immersive environment. We love doing games just two of us and this was a perfect linear room. Every puzzle was fun, interactive, and engaging. Some moments we tried to over think things but overall it flowed amazing!! I highly recommend. The company seems to be well organized and both members of staff we interacted with were fantastic.”

“Unique experience I’ve not seen anywhere else. Logical puzzles; we consider ourselves advanced and were stumped on a few for a while but didn’t need any clues. Out with about 20 mins to spare. Non-linear but puzzles clearly delineated. Recommend!”

“We had a lot of fun in this room. The flow was perfect and the puzzles all made sense. The look and feel of the room was so fun and whimsical. Only issue we had was the bonus puzzle. We got to the end and they told us to go back for the bonus puzzle. This took us away from the excitement of escaping when we finished. I would rather have seen the puzzle just part of the room and not be a bonus. It was a bit confusing. Otherwise it was great room.”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
