“This isn't my style of escape room, with horror and live actors and public bookings, but it was really fun. The sets are really great and there's just enough game play to keep you in each spot for a little while. Actors are absolutely great. Had a lot of fun running and screaming lol”

“This game was really fun. Spooky but not over the top scary. It is a public game and we lucked out to have people who were collaborative to play with. There is an actor who pushes you along which could be frustrating depending on how much you get stuck. Our experience was great. Really enjoyed the sets and heightened moments.”

“My husband and I went here when we were visiting. We did three rooms back to back and the team seamlessly integrated each one into the other. Once we solved the first one, a character came to get us and took us to the next room while sticking to the storyline. It was really fun! The actors were great.”

“This was the first escape room that we did in Vegas and it did not disappoint. It was a nice difficulty level, the room itself had some really cool decor and the concept was beautifully carried during the entire game. Great game and location!”

“The live acting and environment was amazing. I don’t usually get scared in an escape room but this was different. One part of my brain knew this wasn’t real. The other part was screaming “run.” I highly recommend this experience.”

“Really well done room. Very dark to start which can make it frustrating. One puzzle didn’t quite pass my logic test but we got nudged there. Probably their second or third best room. I think Special Ops is my favorite.”

“This room was great, good mix of mechanical and lock puzzles. Requires good communication at the start. Easily playable with 2 people. Rated hard but for experienced players I would probably say more medium. Don’t play if you’re not good with tight spaces”

“Wow, what a fun game! I enjoyed it so much the first time, I’ve played it again since. The puzzles were a fun mix of complex, and simple but they still had us scratching our heads at some points. A very creative use of props in this space, and I found the puzzles to be spaced out well. A room where good communication will help aide in the escape, and have a better experience, although entirely doable as a solo play. I did come across some lights that weren’t functional during my group play, but as always The Escape Game makes it easy to check in with your GM and verify if something is amiss.”

“Very unique game, escape game never disappoints. We needed a hint for the very last puzzle but other than that it was challenging and kept us going all the way til the end got every bit of our moneys worth. Gamemaster injected a nudge at the perfect time to maximize our experience.”

“The set for One Eyed Jack was so immersive. I liked that your team started stuck in a small cell and you had to find the key on the outside to get into the larger room. It made it feel more “real” that you were locked in a cell and the storyline was really interesting and fun!”

“Wow!!! They use heat, water, and air to create a very immersive environment. We love doing games just two of us and this was a perfect linear room. Every puzzle was fun, interactive, and engaging. Some moments we tried to over think things but overall it flowed amazing!! I highly recommend. The company seems to be well organized and both members of staff we interacted with were fantastic.”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
