“Came here for our kids 16th birthday. Being stuck with people you don’t know can be a bummer especially when one makes a phone call in the middle of the game, but we still had a terrifying time! We played both rooms back to back. Coming from California we noticed Vegas likes to babysit their players through the whole game which is another awkward moment, but thankfully our GM was in character the whole time. This was much better than Saw & Blairwitch as they actually allowed us to solve puzzles on our own without being rushed.”

“Their latest creation on site, just as beautifully made as their other two rooms. Unfortunately, it’s my least favorite here because we got seriously stumped on two puzzles that we couldn’t make sense of, so it got a bit frustrating. I’d still recommend this room as it’s still a great fun. It also had a theatrical ending that was pretty cool! Pro tip for enthusiasts, ask the GM to not offer hint unless asked as he tend to be “overly helpful”.”

“One of the most extraordinary escape experiences. I felt like I was in a movie, so theatrical and elevated. Everything from the set to the actor to the puzzles was mind blowing. I will be thinking about this experience for years to come. Enthusiasts this is one for you!”

“The game master, Lance, did an excellent job as the actor and as the character. He made this game so fun. The game itself was great. The puzzles were challenging for sure, but with some clues, we got by just fine!”

“I love all the rooms at this location! They’re all very well done and very challenging in the best way. I don’t normally like scary things, but in this case I make the exception. The actors in the room can be scary, but mostly they’re part of the game and they do it really well. I’ve convinced all my friends who don’t like scary rooms with actors in them to do these rooms and they all agree that it was worth it. I would say this one is the hardest out of all of them. It’s the only room I’ve ever done that I’ve come back to three times before I actually escaped. And I’ve done over 50 rooms.”

“Really well done room. Very dark to start which can make it frustrating. One puzzle didn’t quite pass my logic test but we got nudged there. Probably their second or third best room. I think Special Ops is my favorite.”

“This room was great, good mix of mechanical and lock puzzles. Requires good communication at the start. Easily playable with 2 people. Rated hard but for experienced players I would probably say more medium. Don’t play if you’re not good with tight spaces”

“Wow, what a fun game! I enjoyed it so much the first time, I’ve played it again since. The puzzles were a fun mix of complex, and simple but they still had us scratching our heads at some points. A very creative use of props in this space, and I found the puzzles to be spaced out well. A room where good communication will help aide in the escape, and have a better experience, although entirely doable as a solo play. I did come across some lights that weren’t functional during my group play, but as always The Escape Game makes it easy to check in with your GM and verify if something is amiss.”

“I’m a huge Borderlands fan so this was amazing. I think if you’re familiar with the game you do have an advantage in some parts of the game but overall, it was just so much fun with Claptrap and Marcus figuring prominently. Borderlands fans SHOULD NOT pass this up!”

“Kayla’s 100th room!! The staff was amazing. They hid a trophy that I brought for Kayla in the room for her to find at the end. They treated us so well and we had fun celebrating with them! The room was awesome. Very high tech, very fun, very unique!”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
