“This is more a mix of haunted house with escape room. I think the escape room side probably suffers a bit because in this fusion, but it’s a totally fair trade off in my opinion. Had a blast with the set and atmosphere. Very immersive, the actor added some fun elements and it was quite spooky. Can’t wait to try out IT and Saw as well. Highly recommend for horror enthusiasts.”

“My husband and I went here when we were visiting. We did three rooms back to back and the team seamlessly integrated each one into the other. Once we solved the first one, a character came to get us and took us to the next room while sticking to the storyline. It was really fun! The actors were great.”

“This is not an escape room, it is an experience. Anyone who truly craves immersion will find their fill here. There is story and world building in every corner or this place...and there are many! There is a gamified system (The Boop Card) which is a wonderful addition but if you are just concerned about checking off the achievements you are missing the point. Try to plan around low volume if you can and just genuinely take the time to explore. If you are craving a mystery and a new world to experience without the constraints of an hour this is for you. No escape room can compare.”

“This was the first escape room that we did in Vegas and it did not disappoint. It was a nice difficulty level, the room itself had some really cool decor and the concept was beautifully carried during the entire game. Great game and location!”

“The live acting and environment was amazing. I don’t usually get scared in an escape room but this was different. One part of my brain knew this wasn’t real. The other part was screaming “run.” I highly recommend this experience.”

“The Escape Room locations are shared experiences with others. It was changed to individual parties during covid but brought back to shared now. I mention that because we did two rooms here. This one was the second one in a row. We escaped the first and then waited 20 minutes and right as we were told we would be going in, they said they had to wait for the rest to show up as they had just booked. 10 minutes later they show up, hadn't read the fine print and were upset about having to share with us. The game master told them and offered a solution of refunding their game and booking another time. Then they discussed for 10 more minutes. All in, we sat there waiting for 40 minutes and ended up doing the room alone. That time wasted was unappreciated. This was my second time going a "The Escape Room" location and the lobbies were nearly identical. Not very themed and pretty boring with some merchandise for sale. Gold Rush was a cool room. This theme/story is reused often however they did a good job of making it interesting. There is one puzzle involving a pellet gun that took us a while to complete because we were over thinking it.”

“This room was great, good mix of mechanical and lock puzzles. Requires good communication at the start. Easily playable with 2 people. Rated hard but for experienced players I would probably say more medium. Don’t play if you’re not good with tight spaces”

“One of my favorite rooms I’ve done. I can’t say anything about it tho. Just do it. ’m reviewing all of the rooms I’ve done today, 9/30//22 some of the rooms I’ve been to I forgot if we got out or not but I’ll find out. Also I’ve seen a lot of stuff now that I hadn’t in the beginning. So i have higher expectations now that I may have when I did the room. Love this app! Love escape rooms!”

“Such a fun room. Staff does a great job of getting you sucked into the story. A mild spooky but didn’t hinder the puzzle solving. There was only two of us, so there was a few puzzles I think they had to cut out but the ones we worked on were pretty unique and thoughtful. We got through with plenty of time to spare but it was such a blast to escape through. Do this one if you can handle the atmosphere.”

“A great room, I loved the thematics and the use of almost all senses. It’s a small room but there is a lot jam packed into it. The Pandora’s box theme is carried out very well and even the employees stay in character. This room is not scary or spooky. It looks like an old attic. There are a lot of loud sounds, lights and thematics but it’s not scary or spooky. If you are worried about it being scary, then you shouldn’t be doing a room about mythological curses and evil..just saying…it had some puzzles I have never seen before and the immersion and puzzles felt archaeological. While the staff was amazing and kept us flowing, I’m not a huge fan of linear rooms nor am I a fan of constant guidance (even if it is part of the storyline and immersion. Still doesn’t make my top 10 but it was a very well done room. Imaginative, high tech, great set design and unique puzzles.”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
