“Amazingly scary room! Ashlee and Lilly were amazing and made the room 10x better than just a normal room. This wasn’t just your typical room, this was a super memorable one! Scary for sure. Lots of great puzzles. Already scheduled our next room there for next month. Great place!”

“Really fun room. Puzzles were fun and combo of mechanical and keypad style. Great atmosphere. Murder mystery; does not follow the Agatha Christie story. Still, fun story, good gameplay. Decent challenge. Best room they have (of the 4 we've done).”

“Candy Cane Conundrum is an escape room that will just have you smiling from start to finish. Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, you are guaranteed to get into the Christmas spirit by the end of this experience. As for the puzzles, most are straightforward but it does help to have another set of eyes or ears. We did this room with 2 people but I think 3-4 could be a good number as well if you’re going for record-breaking time. Some puzzles are mechanical and some may require physical agility aka crawling or climbing up the stairs. There are accommodations if you find the physical aspect to be a little too much. We didn’t get a chance to do the other rooms in this location but we would have done more if time allowed! Our game master brought all the energy and we appreciate her! Parking is not the easiest during the busy times but if you go one street over, you might be able to snag a spot.”

“Loved this room. From the entry to the escape room itself, to the puzzles, everything was so thematic and nostalgic. Our game masters were very sweet and the way to get clues on game was super fun. Definitely an amazing experience”

“Absolutely loved this one. Really high quality and obviously so much care is put into these. Gus and Patrick were fabulous hosts. One of my top rooms of all time. Clever, delightful, and fun. We did it with three enthusiasts and all had something to do at all times. Four would have also been fine. Can’t wait to try the third one at this location!”

“This was one of the best single-room games I have played. The set is very unassuming, in an apartment, but is an amazing use of the space with more than it meets the eye. The puzzles were unique and memorable. I recommend this game”

“A unique approach to a pitch-black game. It is smartly designed so that if you are sick of the darkness, you can explore other areas in the light; you are not stuck in a pitch black environment. There are a few scares and moments of courage, but it is not intended to be a full-blown horror experience. The space is snug; I would not bring more than 4 players.”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
