“Can't recommend this room enough! We only had time for one room on our visit to Seattle, and we're so glad we picked this one. A lot of thought and care went into this room... puzzle elements and storyline are very well done and it has great plot immersion. Live actor element is integrated wonderfully and their hint system is also done well, which was helpful since due to problematic travel and lack of sleep, our brains were not at all functioning at optimal puzzle level. Staff was incredibly friendly! If you're wondering if you should do this room, just do it. You won't be disappointed!”

“Very challenging room for 2 people. We had a blast playing it and were only 2 puzzles away from finishing. Afterwards was surprised the room is 11 years old. Everything worked and there weren't a lot of signs of wear and tear. Puzzles were mostly "make you think" versus do something, so bring your brain in tip top shape. Very nice game master and we were treated well doing both rooms back to back.”

“This is a unique and very fun experience! Be ready to put your thinking cap on as some of the puzzles are pretty tricky. We participated in a group of 40, and everyone was busy the whole time moving all around. It really does handle large groups well. The staff at Locurio is amazing, if you ever have the opportunity to play this, DO IT!”

“This room is fantastic! its fairly hard so bring your brains! id say 4 people would be the minimum you'd want (we did it with 3 and did still escape but had to ask for more nudges than we usually do!) the theming is so fun and nostalgic. Definitely recommend!”

“Very awesome room! Had three interactive areas and each was unique. The theme is great and the puzzles all tied to it well. A couple unique puzzles and some really well done ones we've seen before.”

“Fox in a Box really delivered on this room, I love their commitment to immersion. You do not need to know any history about the Zodiac Killer to complete this room, but it's nice to have some back story to appreciate their attention to detail in creating this room. My team had a lot of fun working through the puzzles. Keep in mind that at least one person in your group should be comfortable with small spaces before playing this game.”

“Really great game. We played with two people and almost post. The GM did let us finish. And we finished a minute and a few seconds past the 60 minute mark. This room is hard. Lots to do. Really great affects. Some new types of puzzles. I highly recommend.”

“Fun and satisfying room! It was very cool to experience one of the first escape rooms. Solid story and puzzles. Nothing was too hard but at least one of the puzzles made us think for a looong minute before we figured out what to do. Also we had hands-down the best GM ever. Doable with 2 people. General business note- this location is great. Nice calm/cozy lounge for waiting, with free water, phone chargers, and bathrooms.”

“This room was awesome! puzzles made sense and the theming was awesome. We drove from the other side of the state with this room being one of the top ones we were excited for, but this place has all its rooms "public" unless you pay a ton more so that strangers can join your game (and its basically encouraged with bright flashy signs when you get there on how many spots are left in any given room). 2 people ended up joining our game at the last minute which really threw off our "groove" and did put a bit of a damper on the experience (nothing against them personally) I just wish The Escape Game automatically made rooms private like most places do when you book without having to pay a ton more”

Seattle is a unique and friendly city with a lot to offer in terms of entertainment and activities. Some of the things that make Seattle fun include its beautiful natural setting, with the nearby mountains and water, its thriving arts and culture scene, its vibrant food and drink culture, and its many outdoor recreational opportunities. There are also many popular attractions in Seattle, such as the Space Needle, the Pike Place Market, and the Seattle Center. All of these things combine to make Seattle a fun and exciting place to visit or live.
Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
