Beautifully decorated, the best of a disease/break theme I've seen seen. We were a little unsure when the timer actually begins because the first few and last few minutes are more a part of the storyline where it's not possible to do anything. It's possible to do a couple of the elements out of what is probably the intended order, which works, but it left us not necessarily needing a few clues. This room physically requires at least two people, but four or 5 might be ideal for putting heads together on some of the codes and sequences. It's easy to miss some pieces though, possibly moreso if you have a larger group and trust that someone else looked at a space or item thoroughly. Very minimal lock and key, not especially linear except in a couple situations.

Not necessarily broken but there is one touch panel that felt a little broken until we realized later we were doing it wrong.

The story in this room is that we traveled to an underground Arctic research station, where a malfunction had caused an ice core sample to begin to melt. If we do not remedy the malfunction, the ice sample will remedy a deadly virus. The way we entered this room felt magical and immersive. World building was excellent and the set actually added to the target objectives. At one point, our friend thought we broke something and it ended up being a puzzle interaction. There were fun red herrings that make you chuckle and the buildup to the climax felt urgent and satisfying. A group of four is recommended but I could also see 1-2 experienced players making it through this room just as easily.

The set design on this game really shines through. From the moment you start the game it was really immersive and well designed. We did need a few hints on this one to make it out in time with just two of us, but we did end up getting out with 8 minutes to spare. This is the kind of room where if you see a puzzle and it doesn't make sense yet, just give it a little time until you find the information you need. A little crawling is required. We had a wonderful time overall with every game at Rabbit Hole!

Rating: 4.5/5 - Super cool set with tons of tech, puzzles, and effects (it's my favorite here) Pros: βTons of tech with only a few padlocks, though they were used where appropriate βSet looked fantastic and immersive, filled with custom props and electronics βPuzzles were fun and fit the theme well. They're also challenging, but not too unfair or illogical. This was probably their hardest room. βMultiple rooms to explore, it felt like an adventure βMany tactile interactions, more than just pushing buttons (though there was a lot of that too) βGreat use of atmospheric and audio effects βThings were bright enough to not require flashlights βSome interactions required teamwork βGood flow with satisfying ending βGM (Kelsey) was super friendly and helpful when needed Room for improvement: βThere was nothing to write notes on βI'd prefer if so many of the puzzles didn't have written directions. They were helpful, just wish the puzzles were better clued so that they weren't needed. We completed it as a team of 2, but I'd recommend 3-5 enthusiasts. They allow single bookings if you call to book, but the GM may need to come in to help. My ranking of rooms here starting with my favorite: 1. Frost Base Z (my favorite set) 2. Ruins of the Mystic Temple (my favorite puzzles) 3. Paradox
