The theme and decorations were very fun. Satisfying and intuitive puzzles, as well as some unexpected Easter eggs. A lot easier than their Upside Down room, but it was still a lot of fun! 😊
Last Ship To MarsEscape-A-ToriumEscape roomIRLThis is *not* your typical escape room in that there is a vague story, but you are not searching for clues or collecting puzzle pieces that you'll use later. You are given 6 concrete tasks. Only one task can be worked on at a time. It's a small space, and there were a couple points where I was just watching my husband complete tasks with nothing to do. The concept was cool, but the fact that we were finished with everything in only about 15 minutes felt a bit disappointing. Maybe with more puzzles and more challenges that were more team-oriented, this would have felt more satisfying. For the price point, we would have much preferred one of their more traditional escape rooms, but that may just be us!
The Mason's TempleAxxiom Escape Rooms - WilmingtonEscape roomIRLWe really wanted to like this room more than we did. The theme was cool, the set was innovative, and there were some fun puzzles that felt immersive. However, it was hard to see and it was difficult to hear the GM's clues. These challenges made it far less enjoyable, which was a shame because it had some cool aspects going for it.
Allan Poe – “The Gold-Bug”Smart EscapeEscape roomIRLThere were some fun aspects and it was cool how it incorporated lots of references to Edgar Allan Poe's the Gold Bug. Admittedly, this was my own fault, but I thought there would be more references to Poe himself rather than just the story. There were a couple time sink puzzles, as well as a puzzle that wasn't working right. We were told that this was their hardest room, and we still made it out with 17 minutes to spare... Even with us wasting a lot of time on a couple puzzles. Overall, cool theme idea, but the puzzles could use a little tweaking.
The Return of the HorsemanCloak and Dagger Escape Rooms - HamiltonEscape roomIRLImpressive set, immersive tech, and cool story. Some puzzles we had never seen before in our 100+ rooms we've done together. There is a logic puzzle at the beginning that's a big time sink, but it improves from there!
Doomsday Disaster: Bunker Tested, Apocalypse AppovedProdigy Puzzles Escape Rooms [prev. Mystery Soup Escape Rooms, Lock & Clue]Escape roomIRLIn our over 100 rooms, we've never seen this theme before! This had us smiling and laughing at all the fun attention to detail and Easter eggs in the room. You can tell the owner put a lot of heart into designing all the 3D-printed props and custom-crafted set pieces. We talked with him for quite a while after the room, and that was a lot of fun too! The whole vibe of the place with the rubber ducks and cute theming was very fun and welcoming. Wish we lived closer to check out their other rooms, because we were very impressed!
Be'WitchedLara's Labyrinth - WethersfieldEscape roomIRLWhat a unique experience! We did the "PG" version after being warned that the "R" one was a little much. The live actors and puppets made this memorable. The set design was impressive and immersive. The story was a unique spin on a classic theme. I could see groups of kids loving the whole experience. It was less puzzle oriented and more focused on the story, so just know that going in.
Dr. Gem’s Time TrapMaine Escape GamesEscape roomIRLAfter doing 100+ escape rooms, this is a theme that is still very unique to us. There were lots of satisfying gen 3 puzzles, as well as some fun surprises. Some physical puzzles that we had never seen before!
The Raven's TowerEscape Room Concord NHEscape roomIRLMagic is always a very popular theme for escape rooms, but this had some really fun and innovative takes on the theme. High-tech, unique physical puzzles felt very satisfying! The game master was very friendly and showed off the other rooms for us too. We loved how they gave you a free memento when you left as well! Definitely a fun memory.
The PinehurstStratton Escape RoomEscape roomIRLWe admit, we didn't know if we'd like the theme... An 80s bar is not something we know a lot about. But we were blown away by the immersive set and well-themed puzzles. There was so much attention to detail and clever little intricacies that really enhanced the room and made this memorable. The owner was super friendly to chat with, and we are so glad that we found this little place! We will definitely be back again in the future, and we hope that the owner follows his dream to create a mobile escape room! Don't let the location fool you, we're so glad we made the drive!
Over The FallsEscape City BuffaloEscape roomIRLThis set is incredible, and you can tell this location puts a lot of time into set design. Definitely recommend for a group of 3+. There was a lot going on here and a lot to see. The beginning has a short period where the group is split up, so communication is key here. My hubby and I barely made it out in time, despite having done 100+ rooms together and normally making it out with at least 10 minutes to spare in most rooms!
Amnesia Protocol Decode ZoneEscape roomIRLThis had a unique theme and some really fun puzzles! Definitely more basic mechanical puzzles overall, but still some satisfying moments. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth the fair price! We love the community surrounding this place and always have fun making a little day trip out to Bellefontaine to try their new rooms here. It is always cool to see the new back stories and fun creative ideas this location comes up with... They keep improving each room as they go for sure!
Western SaloonGreat Escape GameEscape roomIRLWent in with a group of 8 of us, and there was enough space for us! We've done several rooms here at this location, and this was one of their strongest in terms of theming and intuitive puzzles. My husband and I have done lots of escape rooms, so there wasn't anything that we hadn't seen before, but our friends enjoyed a lot of "ah-ha!" moments.
Mothman '66 Escape RoomThe Mothman MuseumEscape roomIRLFun introduction and perfect theme for being in Point Pleasant! If you know the Mothman lore, there are fun references. If not, that's no problem either; this is still a blast. The pacing was slow at first, but it picked up and had some unique puzzles that we hadn't seen after experiencing 100+ rooms.
Poe's LamentOutta Time eXcape RoomsEscape roomIRLPossibly the most immersive introduction to a room we've seen in over 100 rooms! The theming and atmosphere were very memorable. Very well-decorated and atmospheric room. Poe references were fun and clever, and really made this memorable. The puzzles themselves felt pretty standard, and low-tech for the most part. This would be a super cool first escape room experience, especially if you're familiar with Poe's work!
VampiresEscape MedinaEscape roomIRLOur team of two made it out with only 7 minutes to spare, which is rare for us! The set was really impressive, and this room has a lot of great ambiance. We loved how they weaved the story around the puzzles! There were quite a few scavenging puzzles and it was hard to see at many points, which made it frustrating. Lots of solid puzzle variety, but a surprising amount of combination locks for how high tech it felt at other points. Overall, really fun room!
Arcade Challenge [prev. Retro Replay]The Great Escape Room - AkronEscape roomIRLLoved the incredible immersion with the set design, theme, music, and props. The puzzles fit so well for 80s nostalgia. Satisfying pop culture references and puzzles that clicked. Momentum slowed down at the end when there was a lack of an obvious way forward, but the hint system was super cool when we got stuck! Overall, solid, memorable room.
Cows in SpaceTeam Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLMy hubby and I always have a blast with Team Escape rooms! The owners and staff are so passionate and put so much care into their rooms. The theme here was so funny and clever. We loved all the inside jokes, humor, and attention to detail. The high-tech nature really played well into the theme and there were a lot of satisfying puzzles. There were a couple puzzles that didn't feel very intuitive, and we did need some nudging at times. After doing 100+ rooms, we had never seen such a unique theme! We had a blast here and will definitely be back for the sequel room!!

Operation GryaznayavodaIn Search Of An ExitEscape roomIRLWhen we called on the phone, the owner told us not to get our hopes up, because we had done 100+ rooms and he wasn't sure how this would stack up. But we were blown away, and this was easily one of my favorite rooms I've ever done! My hubby and I completed it with just the 2 of us, and we made it out with only 5 minutes to spare. The creative use of technology, the narrative, and the unique puzzles were all incredible. A very memorable ending and lots of impressive set pieces we've seen before made this unforgettable! Stop reading reviews and just go!
