Something's Out There!
Maze Rooms - West LA
Escape room
IRL
Had an amazing time in this room. We really enjoyed the theatrical elements that this room had to offer. High tech with scary moments that had us peeking around corners despite no live actors!!! Hahaha Satisfying puzzle progression and plot discovery though out the entire experience!
Hunting Dracula [Formerly "V"]
Locked Adventures
Escape room
IRL
Thrilling vampire hunt with LOTS of puzzles arranged in a non linear format as you race against the clock. High tech with few lock in key that fits nicely in the world offering an immersive experience. Relies heavily on communication with multiple tactile puzzles. Suitable for large groups to divide and conquer but most importantly—communicate information. Well decorated and well themed—not necessarily the most original Vampire theme but the puzzles offer a fun experience despite that! I would rank Hard difficulty for general players however we were able to finish in 58 minutes with 2 players but it was because we thought initially it was a 60 min room despite being 90 mins hahahahah spooky but not necessarily scary. Game master was so committed and made the experience so fun with his knowledge and humor/wit. Hint system is cleverly built into the game in a fun technological way!
Pirates of the Mediterranean: The Curse of the Crystal Cavern

Very immersive set with an impressive intro scene to the room! A mix between linear and non linear aspects. Relies HEAVILY on visual clues scattered around the ENTIRE room so BE OBSERVANT! Got very stumped on certain puzzles because most puzzles were layered in thought process and required 2-3 steps of observation to narrow the FINAL solution. Mechanical in nature using multiple locks and keys, but techy in some aspects. Definitely a unique pirate experience that has a fun objective to complete the game that helps you keep “progress” of how much more u have to do. Animatronics and scene effects were very responsive! Overall, a fun room that does the pirate theme very well—difficult in nature but accomplishable with the right observational skills!
Christmas Mischief
Exodus Escape Room - Rancho Cucamonga
Escape room

A fun new design of the old Pharaoh room that used to be here. Retains the same layout with a complete redesign and puzzles. A good room for children; however, can get increasingly difficult depending on the degree of completion you want to obtain. Without spoiling, players have an optional goal that you can by pass if youd like to finish the room prior to obtaining. Non linear with many locks. A fun and lighthearted room that was perfect for the holiday season. Some puzzles may be a little complex for young children but there are other puzzles that are great for children in terms of active participation. We completed the room and the optional goal but were extremely tight on time as the last 30 seconds had us SPRINTING around the room hahahaha A great memory.
Prison Break
The Escape Game - San Bernardino

One of their older sets—but still very well done. Immersive and puzzles flowed nicely. Alot of observational style puzzle solving. Medium difficulty for experienced players but definitely a little difficult for new players not used to the “funnel down” process of puzzle solving. Very nice staff!! We enjoyed our experience and had the perfect ampunt of nudges when we were stuck to make sure the experience was fun and not frustrating!
Outside In

Dive into the mind of a person “Outside In” and navigate their deepest emotions. Novel game play as you venture through multiple themed rooms of the human mind. Satisfying game play that is perfect for two. High tech to an extent—relying on electronic buttons, sensors, switches, and lazers. Had a MAJOR technical error that caused us to completely bypass one MAJOR puzzle which was a bummer bc we wouldve had fun solving it—had another puzzle that was alittle dated/coming apart, and had one prop that was broken for a long time that developers kind of just left there and couldnt fix so it was slightly a red herring but took out the game. Other than that—Still an enjoyable experience for 2 players! Fast game play but had a unique theme.
Ghost Hunters
Maze Rooms - Robertson Blvd

A great need addition to one of maze room’s newest location. Highly techy with a great level of prop immersion. Linear in nature, so i wouldnt recommend a giant group of people! Had A fun memorable game play mechanic that was iconic to the theme!
Steampunk Alice
Maze Rooms - LAX
Escape room

Had a great time! First room that we completed without any hints or nudges! That doesn’t necessarily mean it is easy however! Puzzles were non linear in nature that relied alot on making connections with clues around the room so be observant of the things you read or see :) Theming was so magnificent and made u feel so small. Props were so grand! Great techy puzzles with some mechanical locks; however they fit nicely within the world. Puzzles match objective of story and honestly feels like im going through some sort of fever dream hahah Inexperienced players may feel overwhelmed due to the puzzle density so just take things one at a time :)
Hotel On Road 66

A very immersive escape experience. Had alot of movie magic moments that made u really feel like you were being haunted by something! Interesting and engaging story with memorable puzzle moments. I wouldnt bring more than 3 people as i felt that it was very linear in some aspects and the experience is best enjoyed in a smaller group as most puzzles do not require multiple hands/participants. A very theatrical and high tech room that is a welcomed edition to the 60 out franchise!

If i could give it a—Meh. I would but I did enjoy it for the memories purely. As far as puzzle satisfaction—I wouldn’t necessarily say they were my favorite/however were novel to the story/room itself. My biggest criticism is not necessarily the puzzles themselves —as they were honestly kind of fun—But it was the WEAR AND TEAR ON EVERY PROP. I swear—every prop was broken or damaged in some way! Not that it necessarily affected the puzzle itself but it kind of ruined the immersion in a way. In many ways too—the theme of the initial set up was very nicely designed—BUT then lost it near the end of the game—so the set design was not the most cohesive either. I would say Gen 1 to 2 in locks—medium difficulty relying on reading and observational skills mostly! Slight scavenger aspect in the beginning but nothing too intense. Overall I had fun—but i think a refurb would do it wonders.
