Big Trouble in Little Christmastown - CLOSEDTwo Trees EscapeEscape roomIRLExcited to visit Two Trees holiday themed room again! Enjoyed the different puzzles added and happy to see similar ones, too. Overall a great linear room where we got thrown off at times but not too greatly.
The Return Of The MagicianUNLOCKED: Escape RoomEscape roomIRLIn the end, an overall good game. Our team might have needed extra nudging and hints because we weren’t told if it was non linear or linear in the beginning. And whenever we asked for help, our GM was giving us clues to things we already solved so it didn’t feel like we were getting full attention because we wasted precious time. But getting over those insights, once we sort of got a flow and rhythm, the gameplay is fun. We even got bonus prizes after that was unexpected.
Goonies Never Say Die [prev. Hey You Guys!!!]Journey Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLWe went for the theme and the GM stated that it was their easiest room. We needed some nudging since our team tends to overthink but once we got our flow, it was a good run! My personal peeve with rooms is that there wasn’t any ambient sound or music. Other than that, everything was great!
Dinosaur IslandTwo Trees EscapeEscape roomIRLWe love Two Trees and was waiting for this particular room since they announced it and was definitely worth the wait. Our GM, Ashley, knew when to give us hints without us having to ask to get us back in the right direction. The set design and different puzzle challenges made this extra fun. Also, dinos! Would recommend. Our team of 2 made it out in 54 minutes, which is a win for a 75 min room for us.
Cosmic CrisisThe Escape Game - OrangeEscape roomIRLWith this being the newest addition to this franchise, it was top notch. The intro set the bar high and the puzzles were different and challenging. Our specific GM, Leslie, was great along with the staff who we spoke with beforehand sprinkled the room with a little extra special for our group. (Also got a beanie which featured the mascot, Cosmo, who I now love).
The Warrior's WayRed Door Escape Room - ConcordEscape roomIRLLove how all of the Red Door Rooms connect so was excited to do this one. The puzzles and flow were great. I’ll let you find out which one tested our patience the most tho lol. Overall great.
Spy DogsMaze Rooms - LAXEscape roomIRLReally fun gameplay and it works for a team of two. Some physical activity is required but not strenuous. But overall loved the theme. How could you not love doggos?!
Outside In - CLOSEDTop Tier Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLA clever approach to a linear room. Great for a team of two. Our GM, Arwen, was awesome. It’s a bit simpler for experienced players, however the gameplay makes it worth doing.
Prison BreakEscape Room 66 - Laguna HillsEscape roomIRLEnded up loving this room more than expected! Every single puzzle was entertaining and the theme enhanced the typical prison break room. We haven’t run into many non-linear rooms but this one just might be my favorite so far. We also had a great chat with one of the owners afterwards. Taylor is great!
The Sherlock SocietyTwo Trees EscapeEscape roomIRLWe have physically played this room with 3 different themes beforehand and Two Trees continues to amaze us! This is by far my favorite overlay of the room and was perfect for a team of two. My only wish was to have something to commemorate becoming a member of the society haha.
Principal's OfficeEscape Room Era - AnaheimEscape roomIRLPlayed this room post beta test and it was great! My ER partner and I are starting to struggle to find room made for 2, and this was it! The gameplay was different, still linear, but nothing we’ve experienced before. Even the way to communicate with the GM was clever. Highly recommend!

Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle AdventureEscapology - NorthridgeEscape roomIRLFirst time trying Escapology and the set design and theming were definitely there. Don’t let the Scooby Doo theme throw you off by thinking it’ll be easy! It was a challenge for a group of two. The puzzles were fun but really made us think. We didn’t ask for hints but our GM kept giving us nudges in the right direction because we were constantly close to figuring things out. Excited to come back and try their other rooms!
Only Murders In The Building [Season 3] - CLOSEDThe Escape Game - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLWas able to snag a reservation for this OMITB promo! 2/3 of us are fans of the show and all the references were so great! Simple linear room and only needed one hint which relied on our ability to smell. (Since the promo room is over, I’m okay with spoiling this part.) Thanks to our GM, The Escape Game, Hulu, and to OMITB for this absolutely free ER experience! Dude, we even got promo gifts haha.

The flow was super well and a first time ER on our group ended up solving a puzzle that is 99% of time always needing a hint! He got the Escape Room bug. But seriously overall a great linear room and good theming.

Escape Operation: End Of DaysMission Escape GamesEscape roomIRLAnother save the world room for our team and this one we really enjoyed! It’s linear and the puzzles were simple yet different enough that it felt like a challenge. Listen to your game master when they say you’re allowed to push buttons. We sort of overlooked something and made it a tad harder for ourselves, entertaining for the GM I’m sure. Also Molly is great!
