The Shadow of the RelicEscape Room BrightonEscape roomIRLOh this one was extra disappointing. I was very excited to try this new room in Brighton especially with the cool theme but my excitement quickly ended when the GM had to tell us that something was broken before we even started. They had a work around so I thought, alright it shouldn’t be too bad, but there were multiple other issues. Multiple doors did not open when they were supposed to which caused us to waste time and required the GM to come in at one point to fix it. Besides that the room is very boring besides the decor. The puzzles are very easy and are mostly linear. Don’t go with a large group because you’ll mostly be standing around. This really surprised me since it’s a larger escape room and I would think they’d want to better utilize the space.
Blackwater Harbor: Echoes of the DeepEscape Room NoviEscape roomIRLWow! This room had a very impressive theme and decor. It really added to the experience and played into the jump scares. The puzzles were not too challenging and lots of fun. Our entire group really enjoyed this room. This location is awesome and the GMs are always great!

Casino HeistEscape Room ZoneEscape roomIRLOur group had fun and we really liked the GM. But that’s where the positives end. I’ve been one other time to this location and I think there is potential but they consistently fall short. This room had decent puzzles and I enjoyed the theme but the puzzles are too finicky to really enjoy. I wish they’d work on making sure the puzzles actually worked. One example is a door drops open and there is supposed to be a key somewhere in there that our group didn’t find the first time. The GM had to tell us to go back and look. Would a hook that holds the key be too much to ask for?
Lincoln Park PrisonMystery Escapes Escape roomIRLI really enjoyed this room! First off I appreciated the design and aesthetic of room. I also like how the room flowed overall. We had 7 people and we were all busy the entire time. There was a good range of difficulty of puzzles. Some of the puzzles were on the easier side but there are a couple tougher ones that took a little bit of time. I also liked that this room is 90 minutes.

Eye Of HorusErebus EscapeEscape roomIRLI really liked this room but there were a few negatives. First it’s about 80 degrees outside and the room felt very hot so the AC wasn’t working great or they keep the rooms hot. This was extra irritating since some of the puzzles require a lot of moving. The other issue was one of the puzzles was incredibly difficult to the point where we just had to use a lifeline to get the answer. I’ve never seen a puzzle that tough and neither has my friend who has done over 70 rooms thought it was a bit much. When we asked about how you would solve the puzzle after the game, the GM said he was too busy to explain it. Besides those negatives, I really loved the design of the room. It was one of my favorite room in terms of aesthetics. Also most of the puzzles were fun and engaging.

It isn’t your typical escape room where you work to escape but instead solve puzzles to get points. There is a live actor and we had Chris who was absolutely amazing! He really made the experience extra awesome! I can’t recommend this one enough!
